We should make noises that we want Moses permanently even though we don't. That way Spurs will come in for him at the last minute.  :D

My lad betted me Moses would be our best player against Oldham .....I hated taking his Christmas money ,but it was a fucking stupid wager
and he needed a life lesson  :;):

Shit RBG what the fk has happened to parental guidance ???  I know you often go out on a limb supporting some of our more questionable purchases. I better not mention Aspas as an example as somehow you have managed to find a soft spot for him. But just what are you teaching your lad. He must have thought the other 10 players were going to be from our youth or ladies team !!!   And you even took his money. What a barstard   You could at least have let him go double or quits on Cissoko being  MOTM against Stoke

No soft spot for Aspas ,I just think he deserves a chance to develop ,I mean he's had one game where he's played as a striker and he's scored, surely
this affords him the patience to maybe see what we really got for our money ? As for Cissokho even I'm not that generous,I'm afraid Cissokho is
going to have to find someone else to champion his cause.....Oh and my Lad believes he knows everything about how the game should be played.

Well he is a massive 17 and we all know how vast our knowledge is at that age .........Its a bit like talking to Stu   :D

Article on ESPN about him:

http://espnfc.com/blog/_/name/liverpool/id/2275?cc=3436

I never liked Moses.

I thought he was over-rated at Wigan and was happy those clowns at Chelsea spent so much on him.

Couldn't believe we took him as a loan, but I guess it was better than nothing.

Was happy that he started well in his first few games and was looking to prove me wrong.

But since those early games his performance has descended into a farce.

Can't see him getting any more regular game time once our big guns are back.

I always thought that a player on loan would try his best to revive his career instead of treating it like some holiday camp. Assaidi is doing well at Stoke, and Borini too. As well as Wisdom at Derby and Suso at Almeria who has gotten great reviews. But Moses and Cissokho?  :no

When was the last loan signing that worked for us? We've had Sahin, who tried but wasn't what we needed. Not sure if there was anyone else.

Also, I don't think it's right that clubs in the same league loan players to each other. It's just a conflict of interest.

Haircut should always be one of the main considerations prior to signing a player.

For-some odd reason ,considering the consensus here on the thread ,i haven't found Moses to be the most irritating player in our team. I thought Glen and Cissoko (whichi i routed for ,shamefully) ,Aspas were way before him.

I've got a lad like that as well. Bit older but knows everything !! Even tried to convince me at the beginning of the season that Rodger's was a bad move. Guess what he is saying now.......

Let me guess, if he's as all knowing as my lad ,its probably conveniently slipped his mind he never had any faith in Rodgers ,and is now saying "Why
haven't we signed Pastore ,Koke ,Costa ,Iturbe ,Tello and Montoya yet lid  "and then follows that with "this Henry fella needs to get off his arse
and back the manager before Spurs rob all our targets " :D My reply as I peer over the top of my Echo "Its only the start of January  lad ,just chill ,and
let's just wait and see who Rodgers has in mind"....... There's a Knock on the door ,and the living room is full of his mates ,and one asks my lad the
same question ......His reply "Just be patience lid ,and see who we get " ??? At this point I go back to reading my Echo.

Its all so easy when you're young  :D

RBG - It sounds frighteningly familiar. Got to sympathise a little though. A seventeen year old has only seen one European Cup (probably the best of the lot though) and no league titles and has had to listen to Man U supporters taking the proverbial. Hopefully our lads can start to enjoy a better future !!

Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge feels Nigeria international Victor Moses has failed to live up to expectations since joining Liverpool on loan from Chelsea last year, according to Football411.

Aldridge has even suggested that it would actually be in everybody’s best interests if the loan agreement between the Merseyside club and Chelsea was cancelled.

“I don’t know whether Chelsea would agree to take him back as they’ve got a big squad but it might be in everyone’s best interests if the loan is cancelled,” Aldridge wrote in his column this week.

“If Moses wants to stay at Liverpool until the end of the season then he needs to buck his ideas up. He’s in a precarious position. He needs to realise that and start fighting for a shirt,” added Aldridge.

Moses has breached the opposition defence just once since he joined Liverpool last September and that goal was scored in his debut fixture against Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.

Aldridge feels that Moses is squandering a glorious opportunity and he can’t quite put his finger on why the Nigerian has not thrived at Anfield.

“Victor Moses was handed a big opportunity when Brendan Rodgers brought him to Liverpool FC from Chelsea last summer,” Aldridge told the Liverpool Echo.

“Not many players get the chance to go out on loan to a bigger club but I don’t think he realises how lucky he is. When Moses arrived I thought he would be a decent acquisition. He did very well for Wigan and did okay during his first year at Chelsea.

“He talked about wanting to nail down a place at Anfield but to achieve that you need to deliver on the pitch and he hasn’t done that. He has let himself down,” added the former Liverpool striker.

Moroccan midfielder Oussama Assaidi was loaned to Stoke City when Moses was signed for Liverpool.

During his brief spell at Stoke Assaidi has scored four goals in 16 appearances for the club.

He has also contributed to the team effort with two valuable assists in cup competitions. Aldridge thinks letting him go might have been somewhat misguided

I love the bit when Aldo says "Not many players get the chance to go out on loan to a bigger club."

I think that Assaidi and Suso will both come back and make serious contributions next season.
