I am yet still puzzled why Houllier didn't keep the likes of Anelka. So I was wondering should we try to get Anelka come January or not?

We might as well start talking about Owen again [...history...].

GH didn't like Anelka 'cause his judgement on transfers was rotten, apart from maybe 2 -3.

GH picked Diouf ahead of Anelka.

IF GH didn't waste £100M we wouldn't be in this position (he'd still be there) and RB would be at Real Madrid.

.. Anelka.. fgs.. get a grip ppl.. the Boss is working on it.. approaching Real again for Morientes at least.. may be James Beattie and Saviola cud well be a prospect..

Anelka misses too many chances nd when he was at Anfield he got caught offside more than Cisse

It NEVER works when a player returns.
Even the Ian Rush return did us no favours. I cannot think of ONE occasion when a player has returned to a club and it has worked wonders.
Personally I think that Anelka should never have gone and that Raffa would have worked wonders with him but that's water under the bridge,
