Who does the defensive and sitting work in the middle of the park if you replace Lucas with Coutinho

The lad isn't doing anything in that midfield for me at the moment. As soon as we get the ball he stands still. He's offering nothing to the player on the ball and he's not moving from 15 yards infront of the defence. His support play has gone to pot recently.

The lad is still winning tackles and getting stuck in but the lack of quality is really starting to hurt us. Gerrard isn't good enough to carry him anymore and its making our midfield look extremely weak. I'd give Allen a game or two next to Steven just to take the heat off Lucas at the minute. Its not fair to play a player who's struggled for form since the start of the season, West Brom aside I think he's having a absolute night mare.

Agreed, when were in possession Lucas is beyond useless

Its no surprise its still the usual suspects ,who didn't really crawl( but made a good impression of it ) away tail between
legs, but rather just awaited their chance to ponce sorry I mean pounce when the lad's form has waned slightly
in the last few games.

He's shown very in his entire Liverpool career to suggest he's capable of being anything other than a squad player. What I find quite laughable is that you make out peoples opinions on the lad have changed so much in that time.
Speaking from a personal perspective ,I find comedy quite amusing Stu ,but your funny bone seems way too easily tickled
if you find posters opinions on Lucas funny.
Well once again Stu I would have to disagree, as Lucas was our player of the season for 2010/2011 as voted for by the fans ,so
he must have been doing something right to merit those plaudits
He was never as bad as first made out, he was never as good as some think he is and he'll never be good enough to be a regular in a team wanting to exceed sixth place in the league.
Well I believe the contrary ,I believe if you put Lucas on the market most teams in the Premiership would snap your fecking hand off
quicker than you would be willing to rim Michael Owen.![]()
Quite simple really
Yes you most definitely are ,so I suppose that's something we can agree on lad
To be quite honest, I don't get how you can try to defend a central midfielder who can't beat a man, isn't great in the air, isn't particularly quick, doesn't read the game particularly well, never passes a ball more than 15 yards, doesn't score goals, hasn't got a great shot, has very average (at best) movement, has a just about ok touch which sometimes lets him down and isn't even that great a tackler (which is supposed to be his game).
You're a clown lad ,and I don't do circus's![]()
The mind boggles
I think in your case its 'bubbles'.
