 , I won't be holding my breathe waiting for you to say anything POSITIVE   :p

I wouldnt expect many Liverpool fans to be positive about losing to the Mancs. But it appears it doesn't bother some

Further progress in the League Cup or a squad that's not worn out and challenging for a place in the Champions League next season ? I know which I'd prefer.

If we dont care about the cup then why didnt we play the reserves like Arsenal and Manu are doing?

We did - but it didn't end their run in a competition and in another month ago it will mean nothing unless we turn our form back around again

well there were some positive signs tonight, any team united put out is tough to play especially at old trafford and i thought that we were clearly the better side.

Didn't think we were the better side at all - Suarez created some chances and we had a few other chances that were wasted but better team ? Not for me. At no time did I feel we were in control in the game , at no time did I see our midfield control possession for a significant amount of time. Every now and then we produced a little bit of slick passing but just not enough quality at the end of the day

even graeme sharpe (a dyed in the wool f##king bluenose) said we were the better side!

Granted, it's not be the most prestigious cup around but means the FA cup is our only real chance of silverware this season

I'm just kidding. Would have been delighted to win, but we didn't, so...

We played some good stuff and would have won on another day.

We created more tangible chances in front of goal. (Hendo ,Toure ,Mozes) ,and multiple others inside the box. In this parameter we were much better....of course it means nothing if the ball doesn't cross the line. Possession isn't the name of the game.

And ? What made us the better side ? Do you think we controlled that game ? Did we win the midfield battle ? What exactly made us the better side

Betty the Loon ?

What is exactly the problem with having a differing opinion on the game ? Shall we all be robots and have the same opinion ?

Yakka thought we were better - I disagreed with that - what exactly is wrong with that

Lets get something straight. That "second string" united team was 100% stronger and better than the first string who were absolutely dry bum fu'cked by city on sunday. I would rather have played against the likes of ferdinand, vidic and carrick than people who actually gave a fu'ck.
We played our strongest team (besides Lucas) because we need to. Its called getting match fitness and cohesion. Yes we lost, but only because of a sloppily defended corner. We played well in parts and had plenty of chances. It was a hundred times better than saturday and we could easily have won if we had been sharper in attack.
Those who take joy in being able to say we are "Sh*t" because we got beat by a single goal need to give their heads a wobble because we had a decent performance tonight. Not great, but decent with plenty of positives. I cringed at the performance against southampton, I quite enjoyed tonight except for the result.
Welcome back Luis

disapointed that we lost. it was an ok game but i didnt think we posed enough of a threat to them to take a win.
good to see suarez back but he is clearly missing a bit of sharpness in his shooting and link up play. hopefully he will find it again at the weekend.
going to have a moan about the goal we conceeded   wtf was our defence doing, enrique got left for dead by chicarito and not one of our centrehalfs was goal side of the player. thats fooking basic stuff that is. it was a poor goal to concede.

The corner and attempts count would certainly suggest that there wasn't much in it. As for who was the better side I couldn't give a fk - we lost !! Toure looked as if we paid £17m for him and Sakho looks as if we got him for nothing !! Lots of positive stuff up front and on another day we would have won.

Just how many corners do we need to even get a decent save out of the oppositions goalie !!!
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years (10 years
are in brackets)
LFC £300m (£420m)
Everton +£33m (£211m)
Arsenal £557m (£853m)
Spurs £545m (£657m)
Chelsea £966m (£1072m)
Man City £165m (£833m)
Man United £650m (£1204m)
