I've posted in the game thread that Gerrard/ Lucas pairing is our weakest link now, at least in the 2nd half, when Gerrard's stamina starts to drop. I would probably put Henderson in there and stick Gerrard out right where he can be a bit more creative with his crosses and passes to the striker. That is what Gerrard actually does best.

But that's putting him somewhere on the park where you need even more fitness and stamina to get up and down the flanks all game long ?

nah, wide right doesnt run as much as a CM, fullbacks and CM`s cover the most ground these days.

Don't think SG has the stamina to play wide right....struggles to get through a half at "just in front of the 4CB's" at the moment.......get a clue stu...watch the f***ing game and not daydream of days gone by

All this talk of where to utilise Gerrard after fatigue kicks in . Its like posters are completely reviled at the idea of taking him off.

Danny Agger came out today and stated he shouldn't have played against Southampton, but told Rodgers he could cope ,he apologised
to Liverpool fans for making that decision. Its comforting to know that he is willing to fully accept that his participation against the
Saints hurt the reds game in general  ......Selflessness ,now there's a trait.

that settles it then, stick him on the bench, if he hasnt got the legs to play center mid or out wide he`s becoming a liability.

He has got the legs to play CM ! Just because you have decided he hasn't doesn't declare it a fact.

Even yesterday in the first half Gerrard was spraying balls about and switching the play. What it is at the moment is he tires in the second half and then it's more than likely time to sub him - but just because he tires after 70 plus mins doesn't mean he should be dropped altogether for inferior players

i wouldnt be against that, just as long as he isnt on the pitch for the last 20 minutes. we are effectively ending games with 10 men.

If you are taking off players because of the last 20 mins then add in Lucas , Henderson as well because they have been as poor as the skipper

Forget the United and Villa games, which I may add there is no f*cking chance we'd have won without him.

Maybe if you took your head out your ***** and see that he's carrying players still you'd understand why he's running out of energy in games.

Or is that to complicated to get your head round.

You clearly don't watch live football and you certainly don't want to see the truth...and it's that reluctance to accept reality that will ultimately cost Liverpool a lot of points this season...Steven Gerrard doesn't carry anyone anymore...watch the games , not the telly
