Liverpool Football Club has today completed the season-long loan signing of Chelsea forward Victor Moses.

The Nigerian international will spend the duration of the 2013-14 season at Anfield after passing a medical at Melwood on Monday.

After completing the move, Moses told Liverpoolfc.com: "First and foremost, I'm delighted to have made the loan from Chelsea to a big club like Liverpool.

"The most important thing is for me to be professional about it and I'm here to do a job for the club.

"The target is to get into the top four and for the club to compete in the Champions League - and I'm delighted to be here.

"The manager has done very well and the formation and players here will help me and I just want to gel in, get to know the players and play with them.

"There are a lot of quality players here - they're winning games and creating chances. It's a massive thing for me to be here."

Moses joined the London outfit in the summer of 2012 and made 42 appearances, scoring 10 goals, as Chelsea were crowned Europa League champions last season.

The 22-year-old is the Reds' eighth signing of the summer and the third deal to be concluded today, following the earlier announcements of defenders Tiago Ilori and Mamadou Sakho.

he will get a fresh lease of life here, just like Sturridge did coming from the chavs, probably been sitting on the bench and in the reserves chomping at the bit

Not overly excited, but like every player we sign I will support 100%. I had the exact same feeling when we signed Sturridge and he's proven me wrong, so hopefully Moses can do the same.

I've been thinking about this deal a bit over the last few days, and I've come to the conclusion that it is a good smart piece of business by the club.

We couldn't get the guys we wanted, and so instead of dropping large money on a 4th or 5th choice we've gone for a cheap short-term option. Moses will be motivated, he's got Sturridge as an example, he adds to our depth, and I think he'll get plenty of games (I'm looking at you Aspas). And the money is still available to try again in the next window, if we decide we want to.

Smart work I reckon.

Welcome to the club

I think this guy will do better than Aspas & Alberto. Already knows the league, the physicality, speed and all that.

I guess welcome and all the best....But I think we lowered the Bar with Moses.

Was really looking for an intelligent in control footballer and not another all-in ,no thought ,kind of player.
