Liverpool won their arranged behind closed doors game with Newcastle 3-1 with goals from Sturridge 2 and Alberto 1
Ryan Mclaughlin was superb by all accounts.....Ben Arfa  and Tiote were amongst the Newcastle side.

This game was probably to give Sturridge game time so he can start Saturday.
Sounds like a good performance and it will also do Alberto's confidence some good to get a second goal.

Saw a few twitter messages about it and the odd picture. A lot of the under21's played with a lot of guys away on International duty. Hopefully has got Sturridge ready to play

Sturridge got the assist for Alberto's goal ,which according to reports came as a direct result of some sweet link up play between the two.
Hope young Ryans performance has given Rodgers some food for thought mate.

Prob give the management the idea to sell off Johnson and cut the wage bill even further
