You said everything wasn't black and white about Kenny being sacked - so which parts have I missed . Here is part of the statement from Ayre
Ayre admitted that Dalglish would have been dismissed even if he had delivered Liverpool the FA Cup, because the club cannot afford the continued loss of Champions League revenue which is allowing other clubs to power ahead of them financially. In a clear break with the club's past, Ayre said cup success was no longer enough to sustain the club in the modern era.
"The Carling Cup and the FA Cup don't generate the revenue and the success that is needed to keep investing," Ayre said. "If you want to be successful, you have got to keep investing. People don't want to hear that football is a business. They don't. They want to see us put lots and lots of money into the football team and win lots of trophies and games. But you have got to have both. You have got to have continued progress in the league. If you don't do well in the league and you don't get into the Champions League, you are writing cheques from your own pocket, aren't you? That is not a sustainable way, going forward."
Dangerous ground - look what happened to the last manager who did that. The owners showed their feelings of domestic trophies

This fkg clown creates a thread and then successfully turns it into a war zone by bringing up Ayre's and the owners understandable attitude towards domestic cup competitions. They never once dismissed the domestic cups. They pointed out that they were not the key priority of Liverpool FC. Yes it's great to go to Wembley but it not going to fund or allow you to buy the best players which said clown is constantly harping on about in almost every other thread. Of course we need CL football and only a fool would argue with that. Kenny got sacked because he had an awful season in the league but you seem to have very conveniently forgotten that. He also together with Comolli pisse.d a shedload of money down the river. His media performances also left a lot to be desired at times. Legend yes but not the answer to modern day football which we found out to our cost.
I honestly pity your nephew. Call yourself a supporter. You haven't got a fkg clue. You are nothing more than a contradictory WUM.

Liverpool is a different club now. The owners have a better concept of what it is going to take and have the man they chose (BR) running the club, rather than Kenny who was chosen by the fans.
