If we do sell him we should have a clause which says he cant play against us

We will sell him I'm sure. I used to hope he returned but my opinion is shifting.

I think a Remy or Benteke type would better suit us, the ability to fit into our style of play whilst offering a stronger aerial threat in an effort to create that plan b we've been missing.

Carroll just isn't able to offer that integration and that's why Rodgers will avoid having to take him back.

From the Mirror
Andy Carroll has provided the most significant clue yet that he’s ready to re-build his Liverpool career.

The £35million striker is close to agreeing a move - to a new house in Southport. And that could sabotage West Ham’s hopes of signing the 24 year-old England ace.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce wants Carroll to stay after spending this season on loan from Anfield.

But the hitman wants to have another go at establishing himself at the Reds – and boss Brendan Rodgers may need him with Luis Suarez’s future uncertain.

Would love him back ,but in all probability its highly unlikely Rodgers will see him as part of his blueprint for our future .

He would offer us nothing in the style BR is trying to play - he is perfect for Sam Allardyce type football where a team is built around him.

I think he would be the difference in games like yesterday ,and if he's willing to be introduced from the bench next season could frighten
the life out of the opposition for the last 10 minutes.

why would he come back to sit on the bench, especially in a World Cup year?

How exactly can he be a difference off the bench ? He isn't an impact striker

He may just want to prove his dissenters wrong ,surely sitting on the bench would give him at least a small chance of this ? Anyway ,who
knows mate,he may just love the City and its fans.

Do you really believe that?

I think he will go out on another season long loan.

Andy had a cr.ap time at Liverpool for most of the eighteen months he was there. His own performances on many occasions left a lot to be desired but in fairness the supply lines were woeful. He's still quite young and he's gained some useful experience at West Ham. Perhaps it would be rash to sell at a huge loss when just maybe he has something to offer a team that is now capable of actually scoring goals. Just a thought....
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 20/21 to 24/25  (10 years

The problem is the way West Ham play is set up around him with other players like Nolan playing off him to pounce on the knock downs.

We would have to change the way we play to allow to the get the best out of Carroll - it would mean building a team around him

I cant see it happening

If he had the control and touch of someone like Mandzukic and use his strength better then you could integrate him into the team.
