Quite right it is a bit unfair to bracket them as strikers, one is a canibalistic lunatic the other an utter flop of a footballer.

Sturridge & Boroni must have broken legs for that situation to happen

i`d love to see diame in a red shirt but it wont happen.
kenny had practically signed him for £5m but when the owners sacked him they scrapped any deals kenny had lined up as well.
diame himself said in the press that he was devastated that his dream move had fell through.
i cant see us going in for him again, it would be like admitting kenny was right and they were wrong.

re carroll i`d like to see him back at the club, a club of our stature should have strikers like luis, sturridge and carroll in the squad.
the situation we found ourselves in last season with just 1 senior striker was ridiculous, god knows what would have happened if luis would have been badly injured.

Yes, and it's scared off a few teams in the past as well. Hasn't seemed to have affected him too much though, although its obviously cause for concern and far from ideal. He wouldn't be playing if he hadn't passed certain medical tests, and I'm sure there's been many.

Back on Carroll. It's been a while since he's not scored or assisted. Scored again today against City.

hart didnt exactly cover himself in glory letting the ball go through him but carroll did well to chest the ball down and get a powerful volley off in a crowded penalty area. he was unlucky with a header earlier on too, hart just managed to scramble it away with his feet.
in the last few weeks he`s been MoM against united and scored against city, even redknapp and niall quinn were saying they are absolutely baffled why rodgers wont give him a chance.
in todays echo it says rodgers is keeping borini, it seems crazy to me how any manager would rather have someone like borini than carroll.

I don’t find it baffling or crazy. Rodgers simply isn't an admirer of that type of player and isn’t remotely interested in changing our style of play to accommodate an Andy Carroll type of player. Carroll has run into good form with a team who play to his strengths, but put him in a team that play fast pass and move football and he’ll struggle again. Playing under Allardyce will be good for his career so hopefully West Ham will stump up the cash required to keep him.

I'm really glad he's doing well.  It's a win/win.  The more goals, the more money we'll get for him.

I think you'll find that West Ham lost !!! Consolation goals don't really count for a great deal. Andy is having a good run and it would be great to see it continue.

What exactly are you trying to prove. I admit that I'm not a massive fan of Andy's style of football. He's a good lad and I hope he does well. As for bringing him back if the option is to sell him for £10/15m then I would keep him but not as a first choice striker.

Andy put in a few decent cup performances last season. However you cannot get away from the fact that during the second half of last season we had one of our worst runs for a long time. Andy figured in a lot of those games and managed two goals against a pathetic Wolves and a very poor Blackburn. It was no surprise to me that we tried to sell him. We bought him based on 11 goals in 18 Premiership games which was one of the clubs worst ever mistakes and he never lived up to the hype or the price tag.West Ham type football suits him. For example do you really think he could keep up with the speed of Coutinho's thinking because I don't.

I'd snap the hand off any club willing to pay £10/15m for him, could you imagine if we had him next season again and he was as bad as he was last year?
He'd be a distraction more than anything and we'd end up getting 7 or 8 off some mid table club for him after another ***** year
He's done well for WHU lately, so now is surely the time to sell him for a reasonable sum
