you are a joke mate, I had a season ticket for years untill i had to give it up for work and family, I lost a great friend at hillsborough, a game that i should have had been with her at and dont you think that all my life that its stuck in my that if i had been at that game i could have saved her.
I stood on the Kop under Kenny when we last won the old 1st division.I have been overseas to back our club many times.

Gentlemen, I think this conversation is going off track.

Some (like me) think what Rafa did for this club deserve legend status, some don't. That's fine. We are all LFC supporters. Some are even suggesting Rafa come should BR fail, that's also ok in my opinion because BR will not fail.

Nobody should care what Rafa does at Chelsea. He is entitled to earn a living, if he wants the russian money, why do we care? Its not like he turned down us for chelsea is it?

He may have been waiting for a chance to try again, but it did not come.

He is on a very short wicket at chelsea, i think its just to much to refuse in terms of $$. Good on him and I hope we finish above them.

for instance Alan A`court, he had just got into the first team at 18 when we went down a division in the early 50`s.
A`court was a superb winger who played for england (including the 58 world cup in sweden) with the likes of nat lofthouse, tom finney and billy wright when he was a second division player with us.
it was the likes of A`court and Liddell that kept us from going down to the third division and they stayed with us even though they had better offers from other clubs.
A`court was in the team that won the second division title and got us back into the top flight but then shankly bought peter thompson and A`court was sold to tranmere when he was 30.
i think A`courts last ever game for us was our first ever european tie, A`court was a player that didnt leave us when he had the opportunity to but chose to spend the best years of his career fighting to get us out of the second division, when he left us we were a first division side playing in europe and on the verge of winning the title. A`court could have played for any of the top sides in the 50`s like wolves or united but he chose to stay with us. he died a couple of years ago.
he is in the clubs hall of fame and rightly so, he`s a true legend of this club who put the good of the club before his own career. this was back in the days when players earned £5 a week as well, that to me, title or no title, is the epitome of a liverpool legend.
