Yes and if he's playing fantasticly then why would that be embarassing, it would make perfect sense?

We would be a laughing stock as we would look like we are confused.

Carroll out for West Ham today and reports sayings it's going to be a 6-8 week lay off.

If Rodgers was even considering bringing hom back in January (which i doubt) it looks even less likely now if he won't be available to play til February.

Bad season for Carroll, two bad injuries and when he did get a run of games he managed one goal (a consolation goal in a 3-1 beating i think).

Get rid of him before his value drops even further.

He's Sh*t! How many chances did he get last season? He can't even control the ball at times. Just admit we paid way over the odds for what was essentially an average player on form. That's not to say he won't develop into a better player but we need to sell him asap.

can only hope West Ham honour their agreement and buy him for 20 million if they stay up.  Otherwise he'll end up going back to Toon for half that

West Ham won't keep him, he's turned into a sick-note since going there.

They may even send him back to us in January (if the option is available).

A.C. could be the worst expensive signing Liverpool has ever made. With hindsight, he was the result of a panic buy and Kenny's tendency to overspend. I just don't understand how could Kenny spend 35 million on a player having just arrived from the championship and on a scoring streak of 11 goals was enough to be worth 35 million. He can grab the goals if his team play according to his strength but not vice versa and BR knows his tactics will not suit A.C. and so I don't think he will ever return to the Liverpool first team as long as Rodgers is in charge. I wish him all the best for the future as he has been a victim of NU owner M.Ashley. A.C.  signed a long term contract before we bid for him and when we were stupid enough to up the bid to 35 million, poor A.C. was pushed out of the door of the club he loves and supported. Now he suffers abuses from NU fans but in fact those abuses should be directed at their owner.

i beg to differ. i think commolli signed carroll. we can go about arguing who bought who, all day long so lets save our effort.
but i do agree that carroll is a bad bad signing in monetary terms.
here an old investment saying there are no bad stocks (players) only bad prices.

My take on Andy Carroll.

Towards the end of the season, or as a few have pointed out, since the Newcastle game, Andy Carroll started to come into his own.

He dominated defences, he scored goals, he was a bigger threat than Suarez was. Go on, I dare you, tell me im wrong.

The decision to send Carroll out on loan was a bad one in many ways, for me mainly, because he was the one who finished the season as one of our most impressive players. Of all our players, he finished the strongest. Am I wrong?

He then went on to play for England in the Euros and scored a blinder. Once again circumstance has denied Carroll his glory, in the Euros case, Rooney the useless donkey.

Carroll is definately not a bad signing, but ill used? yes, I could agree with that.
