I'm pretty sure we all agree with removing terraces and bringing in all seater stadium.

if our future fanbase consists of the lads at Anfield who only ever break eye contact with their Blackberrys to spit expletives at another wasted shot ,then if they're the future of this club we are in serious trouble ....A lot of the lads I have grew up with prefer to go to the away games ,something I have started doing
myself if the truth be told .I sold my season ticket in 2009 ,but I still attend as many games as (outside of work commitments )possible ,I think our away
support is still phenomenal and as passionate as it has always been .... It may be some time before we hear Anfield resonate with the sound that struck fear
or inspiration into our opponents.

agree about the away support. i get to about 4-5 away games every season and the atmosphere there is always great. sunderland away this year was phenomenal, but a lot of that was added to by the fact that it was the first game after the hillsborough revelations.

The away support has always been phenomenal...even back in the day.................and unfortunately the modern generation fan prefers to exercise his/her fingers than the vocal chords on match day....
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW SHINING AT THE END OF EVERY DAY.
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW AND TOMORROW IS JUST A DREAM AWAY.

Who in their right mind would prefer their own pi'ss to be running down the back of their leg?
Mores the point, who can pi'ss down the back of their own leg?!

that p1ssing down the leg malarky is just myth, what did happen was that the wall at the back of the kop used to be used as a makeshift bog so you did get a river of p1ss cascading down the steps but no one ever p1ssed down the leg of the person infront of them.
the only way you got p1ss on your kecks was if your kecks were a bit long and touched the floor or if you were standing near the back of the kop and we scored and everyone jumped up and down in the p1ss splashing it about.
all that stuff about rolling echo`s up and p1ssing down peoples legs is pure baloney.

Me and two friends sat down on the steps in the middle of the kop at half time and both of them were wet with pi'ss that had run down from the back. It had split into two and missed me. Result! ahaha

Westfalenstadion manages to incorporate both seats and safe-standing and manages this extremely well. I would like to see the Kop return to an all standing terrace and I'd like to see more vocal supporters coming back to Anfield. Day trippers like myself contribute diddly squat to atmosphere except dilute it and take the rightful place of a local person.

Of course all seater stadiums are much safer and we must respect the Hillsborough families wishes that we dont go back to standing.
But I cant help feeling that we have learned lessons from the past, and it wasnt the standing that killed people, it was the metal fences and incompetence of the police.
There was nothing better for me as a lad than going into the kop and getting my "spec" halfway up, just to the left of the goal. I learned after my first time to have my back to the barrier rather than stand in front of one. But that feeling of being carried by the crowd in all directions was unbelievable. Looking back I know it was totally unsafe, but what a thrill and something I will remember for the rest of my life.
