THEY played Teenage Kicks in tribute to the late, great John Peel before last night's Carling Cup clash at Millwall.
His favourite song was an appropriate anthem for what followed from his beloved Liverpool but perhaps The Kids Are Alright was ultimately more accurate as Rafael Benitez's young, inexperienced team emerged from an appalling night in south London with reputations and experience enhanced.
Nice touch from Millwall FC.

Before I go, I had to comment on this.
First off RIP John Peel.
Secondly the song was palyed at the request of Millwall fans and some of us even took copies of the song to the ground to ensure it was played.
