I once described the fella as a "sack of spuds" and fair play to him on the limited opportunies he's had he's gradually changed my opinion. There's a player inside Andy Carroll, unfortunately it doesn't look like our manager can or want's to use it. I'm convinced  Carroll has a big future working with a manager that shows some belief in him.

West Ham 3-0 up, commentator says the opposition look terrified of Carrol.

The decision to let him go is increasingly unfuckingbelievable.

The thing is he will only get better

Nevertheless, I hope he has a good season with West Ham, and they buy him for 17 mil.

Oh he is fired up and had a good game

Whether that will transpires into a long term success who knows

Seems like he always needs a rocket to get moving. His performance for us improved after that fiasco up at Newcastle

Just saw a whole play in which West Ham had 3 players in the box. But guess who wasn't there? Andy Carroll. If we're stuck with him in the future, maybe we should think about converting him to a CB. He'll make an excellent CB I think, has got great height, body strength, enough ability to pass, and a good head.

He is injured now. I think he has had a fantastic game. It's not all about making fantastic runs into the box...playing as a beast can be equally effective but more importantly gives a viable alternative. Just ask Arsenal fans what  damage a physical striker can do after years of abuse by Dogbreath.

It's true. I did like the idea of Carroll coming on as a super sub and us switching to a very conventional game to mix things up and confuse the defence.

Is it any surprise he will do a lot better at the hammers?

Less pressure on his shoulders.

he played really well, considering he was frozen out here and barely played in pre season it was a tremendous performance.
it said everything when martin jol put 2 defenders on carroll after 10 minutes because hangeland (who is a big fella himself) couldnt handle him on his own.
even west hams second goal, it was noticable that fulhams best header of the ball hangeland was nowhere near the corner because he was marking andy carroll at the far post, just his presence rattles defenders.
he should have been awarded a pen too.
when allardyce gets a chance to work on a few things on the training ground (like a few of his old bolton set piece moves) they will be a handful for anyone with andy in that type of form. allardyce must be buzzing, even at 23 andy carroll is like kevin davies on steroids.
