Its really a case of what could have been but one of the oldest cliches in football is "never go back" and it rings as true for Owen as anybody.

Times change things happen that's life.Owen has gone,So let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be, singin these words of wisdom let it beeeeee.

No but seriously if he was still here and not playing well i know for one i would have something to say and so would a lot of other people,But know he has gone it's what if's let's just leave the boy be and look forward to our future domination.

And Angelina Jolie loving S&M  :;): .

True.

Ian Rush wasn't 25% the player he was when he returned from Italy.

Thats harsh.  Rush had set huge standards before leaving for Juve.  It would have been impossible to match that record during his second anfield career, but he still returned to make a huge impact winning the '89 f.a. cup final for us and scoring goals consistently until the end of the '91 season.  After that, his pace started to go and as a player who relied on speed it was only natural that his impact would diminish.

Personally, i think Owen would flourish in the current side but I can't see him coming back.....unless its as the strikers coach in 10 years time.
