Why would you leave your most potent weapon behind in Liverpool , when the game needs to be won, and won ,with the least amount of effort ?

We're taking a massive risk if we don't bring in another striker, personally I still think we're short with Carroll included, never mind gone
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Carrol's never been my favourite (probably never will be) but back end of last season the fella started finally to show some form and had me thinking he's at least worth a place in the squad.

Now apparently he's not gonna be given a chance to build on his upturn in form, instead he's gotta a big "for sale or loan at a knock down price" hung around his neck.

Think it's shoddy treatment of the fella , wouldn't suprise me if he moved on and started scoring for fun.

Having let him go on the cheap we'll then look like even bigger mugs than the day we f'ucking signed him.  :veryangry

Same here mate, totally baffled by it all to be honest.

What exactly are you baffled by, I have not heard LFC or Brendan come out and say they wanted to sell carroll. What I have heard is that Rodgers respects Carroll and wants to play him. I fail to see how LFC can divert the speculative press and btw it's not just us, Wenger is clearly just as annoyed at the Van Persie rumours.

That's what Ben Smith is saying

@BenSmithBBC: Official line on Andy Carroll's absence is that he has a slight groin strain which no one wants him to aggravate. #LFC

I assumed Andy was left out seeing as his future looks increasingly like being away from Liverpool. I just wonder whether or not this is an excuse used by the club to play down mass hysteria within the media circles as Andy prepares for life away from Anfield?

An overrated striker by all accounts, he had a brilliant first-half of the season for Newcastle, in comes Pap!ss Cisse in January and Demba Ba suddenly looks second-rate next to Cisse. That said he wouldn't be a poor purchase, especially for £7m.

Rodgers has certainly led the man a merry dance, that's for sure and it's completely uncalled for, mind you Aquilani is now being throw into the mix aswell. It would seem that this club doesn't know how to treat players with respect and then you have to ask yourself just why the likes of Owen and Torres seemingly show this club, little or not respect when departing? The treatment of Andy Carroll and Alberto Aquilani by this club has been distasteful and I think Brendan should be trying to keep as many players as possible because as it stands it appears that Agger and Skrtel are both getting cold feet at Liverpool. According to reports, Agger wants out and so does Skrtel.

You cant deny the treament of Carroll has been awful. Brandon is way to happy top talk to the press, made worse by how unwilling Kenny was.
