thats what he's saying in front of the cameras but he's a bit friendly with the reporters and has no trouble speaking off the record to them.
who do you think is upsetting swansea by disclosing allens contract? my money is on rodgers for that.

You know we're genuinely interested in Allen, I wish the club would stop f*cking around and just buy him. Otherwise the fee will increase, as the selling club has less time to find a replacement, or another club such as Spurs will enter the picture.  :no

I just hope all this transfer talk to sh.it teams like West Ham actually reminds Andy just who the fk he plays for. We need a lot more from him than half a dozen reasonable performances at the end of the season!

it`s blatantly obvious that the manager doesnt see carroll as part of his future plans, there is no way this is some sort of elaborate ruse to try and get more out of carroll.
if it was a bluff why only single carroll out? most of the squad needs a kick up the @rse, at least carroll upped his game and finished the season showing heart and determination, the likes of downing looked like he couldnt give a sh*te

To be honest mate I think Downing is a fkg lost cause and one of the biggest mistakes we have made in the transfer market for a very long time. With the right management Carroll could be a serious asset!

Yeah, I'm definitely taking that with a pinch of salt. He may say publicly that he won't accept a loan and I'm sure Rodgers would seemingly prefer a straight up bid for Carroll, but I suspect if someone offered a chunky loan fee and to pay his wages he'd be happy enough.

To be honest, I would be very very tempted to sell Carroll at 19 million. We should have only paid for him that much to begin with. At most 20 million. 35 million could feckin buy a world class striker like Aguero. It was crazy money and it was crazy transfer. Carroll is a one dimensional striker and no where near shearer's or drogba's potential. In a hyped up market he's worth 18-20 million. His real value is closer to 13-15 million. If the BBC report is true that west ham will be legally binded to buy him for 17 million with the only condition being avoid relegation, then that's very tempting...

Its a shocking deal for us. Giving him away on loan for a small fee - its pathetic and the people that are tempted are the ones that just want rid in anyway possible.

As previously stated I think the loan deal is being explored to hold his value. I think he does not fit into any of Rodgers plans and by benching him for a whole season his value will reduce.

Ben Smith from the BBC has just tweeted that Carroll was included in the squad list but has not travelled.

He was named in the very large list of players provided to UEFA but he hasn’t been selected as part of the travelling squad. Very poor by BBC.
