The Liverpool Chelsea premier league game right after the FA cup final was on tonight.  Watching Andy, he played incredibly well, really looked like he belongs in a Liverpool shirt.  This one play, Agger's overhit a pass to him, we're up 4-1 and completely dominating the game, chelsea have already given up, but Andy runs full sprint for 30 yards, slides as hard and quick as he can to make sure the ball goes out for a throw instead of a goal kick, straight hard into the wall.  Torres never put in effort like that for us.

People who are willing to work that hard can improve so much better than those who don't.  I will be extremely upset if we lose Carroll.  He's really grown on me and I truly believe he can be a great player for us.

You'll get over it when we get Dempsey in & he bangs in a few goals.

I want Dempsey, there's no reason we can't have both.  Dempsey likes to play more on the left anyway and cut in so he can shoot with his right.

Now that Rodgers finally has the opportunity to work with the Big Man on the training pitch ,I am sure he will see how potent a player he can be in our
quest to qualify for the  Champions League .

I will personally be elated if we start the season with Andy .

Havent we learned anything from the aquilani saga? Better to accept a loss and get it over with instead of spending years paying wages for a player we dont want. We will never get a top price for a player we want to get rid of.

I think the two situations are completely different. Anyway I appreciate what the club is doing... no one should be able to low ball us. That's how we got good money for Alonso and Torres. Stay firm with our valuation. I only hope two things if Carroll stays:

1. We do not play him at the expense of team performance. If he's not performing, BR should bench him and give Borini the chance.
2. If he plays I really hope he would be able to replicate his good form that he showed in his 6 games or so at the end of last season on a more consistent basis. I am all for players who work hard, that's why I was always behind Kuyt, when some of you looneys were crucifying him.

In any case, we have 3 strikers in Suarez, Carroll and Borini and I think that's the minimum we should have. It would even be better if Dempsey joins us. Then I believe we will have the strength in depth to challenge for that Champions League spot...

All this speculation surrounding Carroll may work to our advantage if he stays.

Remember how good Alonso was in his last season because Benitez had tried to sell him in the summer? That's because he felt he had a point to prove. From what I've seen of Carroll his attitude is good, he gives 100 percent (when he's fully fit that is) and if he stays then I can see him having a good season.

He's not an ideal fit for Rodgers' style but surely we can adapt the system to him. Carroll has more to his game than winning it in the air.

On principal I wouldnt sell him to Newcastle anyway.

That Pardew is a right knobhead cant stick him.

Personally I wouldnt do business with them ever again the way
that clever get keeps chiming in with advice not to mention
the joke of a deal they submitted to take the lad back.

You speaking for all reds supporters when you say we ?

Andy Carroll will make defenders quake in their proverbial boots next season ,last season was just a wake up call for the lad ...
There isn't the remotest similarity between Aquilani and Carroll ,two cases that are poles apart ..ie only one has the potential
to be the most feared British striker in the game

Sick and tired of other clubs making comments, Pardew is as bad as Whelan.

He is our player at the moment, so shut up.

We got good money for alonso and torres because they were players we wanted to keep. They were key players in our team. Carroll is not, he has had a bad season and is a player that B-rod dont want.

If we really want to keep him and make him part of our first team thats fine, but it does not seem like thats what b-rod wants and then we are better off getting rid of him.

I must have missed that ,you see I thought it was the media who placed him firmly in the shop window ....Rodgers just talked about loan moves in general .
It seems the fact today he has come out and eulogised Carroll's ability would definitely leave massive holes in your guess work .
