the premier league dont allow it, i think the rule originates from the early 90`s when we had 4 european cups and united had 1, i dont think the prem liked the idea of the media favourites and darlings of middle england being shown up everytime they took to the pitch, when they`ve won 5 they`ll no doubt change the rules.
back then forest were in the prem too and they would have had 2 stars on their shirt and villa would have had 1 as well.
embaressing for united so it never happened.
