FSG bought the club because it was cheap and the potential is massive - they bought the club because they felt it could earn them a very good amount of money.
Ayres did what they had to because the club was about to go into Admin and all of them would of lost their jobs and any future bonuses and earnings. Broughton was at the club to sell if for the banks - that was his job and what he was paid to do.

Fans should let the owners get on with it!! I hear spirit of shankly are requesting the owners come out and inform fans of their plans for the club!! A load of b*ll*x in my opinion!!
Have some trust in the owners and be grateful hicks and gillette are gone!!
it was the fans who saved the club last time lad, if they had let hicks and gillette `get on with it` we`d all be supporting afc liverpool now.
well, some of us would.

The money to be made comes from lots of sources - telly ,prize funds , advertisement , commercial value and income from sales in shop and ticket sales.
So yes the supporters will help give them the income . But the global brand was why they bought us and because we were going cheap

Not sure what you are nodding your head at you have demanded every manager be sacked in the last 3 years. You are part of the problem.
No doubt you will be asking the new manager to be sacked when they don't meet your standards

Calling me a racist are you ?
My problem with foriegn Internet forum fans has nothing to do with their race. It's to do with their knowledge or should I say lack of knowledge about supporting the club the right way.
And yes I don't think you are a worthy of being called a Liverpool supporter and that has nothing to do with your race.
I would be very careful what you accuse people of boy.

Of course it's not nothing to do with my race, it's my country isn't it Mr Know It All?
But I wouldn't bother with what you think because you're not worth anything to me Benny, honestly, I'm sorry but you're just another thing on the internet. Like a virus.
You know why you're so hated by many posters on this forum? Simply because you post with such an aura of self righteousness, that you're always correct and that whatever you say is to be taken as gospel. Perhaps if you learned how to stop being such an arrogant *****, you will get more respect.

The banks knew what was happening FSG knew exactly what was happening and timed it perfectly when the price was low.
The fans didn't get rid of the owners - RBS along with the help of Broughton , Ayres and Purslow got rid of the owners and FSG stepped in.
Yes the fans protested etc but they didn't force a sale - the bank did just before they were about to put the club into admin.

It surprises me that a diehard like yourself plays down the role of the supporters in ousting H&G. Didn't attend any of the protests yourself, no?
Fair enough if you didn't but one thing is sure and that's that it would have much easier for H&G to hang on to the club if the supporters hadn't taken a such a forceful stand against them. The effect of all of the campaigning done by the fans; the mass protests, the e-mail campaigns, the threat of boycotts, the bad publicity, could only have encouraged the people bankrolling the operation -- RBS -- to force the owners to sell, which in the end is what happened. Even if you don't accept that much, I'm surprised you haven't at least recognised that it was an honourable effort.
