A new aerially dominant defender.
A central midfielder who can dictate the tempo of a game.
An attacking midfielder in the Pablo Aimar mould (but not him as he's too old).
A striker who will score most of the chances he gets. (I'd LOVE Huigan from Real).
A winger who actually possesses the ability and willingness to take on a fullback.

Agree with all of that mate, except that we can compensate a midfield who dictates tempo over an attacking midfielder. We definetly need a goal scorer and a creative right winger.

berbatov is on a free   :D

we should be going all out to get hoilett. we'd have to pay a small compensation fee but it'd be worth it. the kid is class.

Higuain is a superb player but he misses a LOOOOOOT of chances, similar to Suarez only more pace but less trickery. I want us to find a player who you dont see for 89mins then he pounces on a half chance and wins us the game, ala Rushie or a 2001 era Michael Owen. Huntelaar at Schalke knows where the onion bag is - 29 in 34 last season and the Bundesliga now ranks as the 3rd highest standard league in Europe above Serie A.

So if they did bring him back, what would you do, would you boo him every time he got the ball or would you support him as a liverpool player.

I wouldn't support him and tbh I was never as taken to him as a lot of fans were, my favourite was and always will be Robbie Fowler.

Hoilett and Kalou are the only ones I would take from that list.

Why Kalou? His distribution of a football is horrendous.

I'm sitting here wondering why no-one is talking about Andy Johnson - I wasn't even aware his contract was up. Definitely the sort of player we could use, and one I think we'd have a good chance to get. A starting place would be his to claim, unlike his current situation.

Then my tired brain caught up with my tired eyes and I realised that it says Andy not Adam. Hmm, perhaps not then...
