Heimdal speaks the truth. Liverpool will lose out and slowly but surely end up just another Aston V or West Ham. Everything about Liverpool and it's staff smell mid table. Also I can sense a certain acceptance about the situation and the downfall. Many sounds not too disheartened or dissatisfied about it all. In three years time finishing 8th might be considered a fantastic season.
Of course things happen and power shifts. Look at everton, blackburn and villa. But I can guarantee that next season we will do better. Its written in the stars
:nod
Improving from 14th to 9th? Blending in with Everton and Stoke and Sunderland 30 points behind Chelsea and 40 behind the Mancs?

I cant defend the lack of points. I dont enjoy it and I dont say I am happy with how things have turned out
However it is not the end of the world and the attacking play encourages me that we will be better next season. I really feel that weve got enough enemies out there who will highlight our faults and ridicule us without our own fans doing it as well.
We can all see the table and none of us is celebrating our league standing. Give it a rest for fu'cks sake.

The summer signgings (if Kenny is here) will be decisive.

Comolli has been fired for the last batch of signings... and i believe he has taken the hit for two (himself and Kenny). There is no buffer zone now for Kenny.. he is next in line if it all goes wrong again.

My biggest concern has always been mediocrity setting in.. and another season like this one it will have done. We are losing on a regular basis to teams who haven't beaten us for 30/40 years.. Anfield records are tumbling. Whereas losing at home to West Brom just 2 or 3 seasons ago would have everyone gasping, nowadays its kinda just shrugged off, its no longer seen as a surprise. It barely gets a mention in the media. Also, in terms of accepting 2nd rate players, the acceptance of the mediocrity has already set in with fans (and thats when the standard really nosedives as its the fans expectations who drive the club on). "well done spearing lad"... "good effort big andy".. Shelvey, Adam.. and the plethora of second rate kids from the academy.. who because they are scousers "great to have them in the side".

We are becoming used to mediocrity and once that sets in (take a look at the bitters) its set in for good.

The answer is that we have become an extremely average team, managed by an extremely average manager and unless both these problems are addressed we will remain a mid-table average team.

Will you stop supporting if we stay the way we are?
???

No I won't stop supporting but i will lose quite a bit of interest, as I suspect many of the fans worldwide will, which in turn will mean less money coming in, cementing us as a midtable team until we get bought out by someone with more brains than sense.
I've supported this team for a lot of years now, with very little to show for it compared with friends who support Man Utd adn Arsenal. If I am as fickkle as some sugest why am I still one of the most active posters on this forum?

Most active?

Whinging and moaning about how YOU should be rewarded by the club with on-field success, and thinking Pardew (typical jeerkism from you), or the Swansea manager or Norwich manager should have be hailed as geniuses and be given a go here

I'm not ocnvinced he was sacked because of the failure of his buys, but because of his future plans/strategy. Otherwise as everyone says, why wasn't Kenny sacked etc.. To me, Comilli's vision - whatever it was - didnt fit the owners plans.

Sticks and stones. Are you saying that Pardew etc are bad managers, or just lucky in the same way that our team is so unlucky and hard done by, press hates us, world hates us, boo hoo hoo. Cry me a river chump. meanwhile I'll live in the real world without paranoid fantasies and unjustified hero worshipping.

tee hee hee, how clever and witty you all are, not an original thought between the lot of you.  :no just a flock of sheep. Nice with the homophobic angle though, that's a new one, now lets go for some more racism and xenophobia.
