Possibly Houllier's biggest game coming up next month.......we could well lose it. I mean, is anyone out there really confident that we can go there and knock them out. If we lose that one, surely, surely he will go. Surely??

Sounds about right. Anything could happen. But GH will know that this would be the final straw and that he WOULD get sacked for this one. Well, probably! Anyhow, he'll play for a draw, hoping for a victory at Anfield. But didn't he try that with Crystal Palace last year............? ??? Oh dear.

Yeovil wont beat us.......

We'll win by two or three goals and Houllier will call it "progress"...

Yes, but Celtic had the good sense to get rid of him quickly.

Hope you are right, JBG. But Houllier's record against teams from lower divisions isn't great. Didn't we lose to Grimsby at home a few years ago. And to Crystal Palace. And Sheffield United away. Didn't we draw 0-0 with Ipswich at home last season? There are more.........

But, if we manage to beat them, he will say something like.........."this is a platform to build on. The boys have come through this difficult period, but we are stronger and I know that the fans, the real fans will stick by us. Not like those people who do radio phone-ins and web chatrooms. No, they are not fans. But this victory today against Yeovil is a great confidence booster and we feel that we can go all the way and win the cup. And don't forget we are still aiming to finish fourth in the league......there is only 7 points between us in 11th and Birmingham City in fourth place. And Birmingham have not had injuries like ours. When all our best players are back, we will catch up. I am confident. We have three away games coming up against United, Chelsea and Arsenal and we will win them all. Just you wait and see. This difficult spell has been a blessing in disguise and we are stronger together as a team. We will win the UEFA Cup also. And next year I am confident that we will win the league. This Yeovil victory today will transform our season".........Well, he'll say something like that.

One word Redandblue: brilliant! :D

May I add a few Houllier-isms of my own.

"...believe me, I know what I am doing.."

"..I'm in this for the long run..." ??? ..(five years and counting now...he's right).

"..nobody plays with wingers in the Premiership anymore..." (er, what about Giggs, Christiano Ronaldo, Laurent Robert, Robert Pires, Damien Duff, Jesper Gronjaere, Stelios at Bolton, Zenden, Pennant etc?   ??? )

"...Ryan Giggs and Robert Pires are not wingers..." (Houllier's reply to the above)

".....I believe in my players...." (tell that to Nicholas Anelka, Robbie Fowler, Paddy Berger, Jerzy Dudek, Sander Westerveld, Jari Litmannen, Bernard Diomonde, Bruno Cheyrou, Steven Wright, Alou Diarra etc)

".....I believe in my players. My players are disappointed but I told them not to worry because this team will lift the Premiership title and Champions League trophies...."   :D (Houllier consoles his team after they go out to Basle last season......his most outrageous comment yet?)

"....people just hear what they want to hear...." (Houllier's reaction to David Moores' warning last week)

I'll be having a cheeky £10.00 on Yeovil just in case.  I might make myself a few quid.  What a sad time it is for this club, when you go into every game knowing victory isn't certain anymore.

How right you are. We could go on a six match unbeaten run. Or equally, we could go the next six matches without winning.

But the team relies massively on Owen and it is difficult to see us getting a winning run without him.

Alan Hansen wrote a great piece about the state of our team in Monday's Telegraph........basically saying the same as us. He just cannot believe that the Premiership elite (three) doen't include us. And that whilst we have been hit by injuries, Liverpool have been poor too often. He didn't call directly for GH to be axed, but it was clear that he believes that GH has had his day.

The frightening thing is that if we somehow give Wolves a hammering this coming weekend (unlikely, I know), GH will be talking about 'turning a corner'. We all know that he will be talking nonsense. Win or lose, he will be talking nonsense.

When was our last six match unbeaten run? Probably any point within our 12 match unbeaten start to last season. Houllier has a lack of timing - who to buy and when. As soon as Owen's form dips or he is out injured our form goes out the window and we become a mid-table club. Truth is we have three top quality players (Owen, Kewell and Gerrard) and a few good ones but no strength and/or strength in depth
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
