How much did Rafa spend on those players?  ???  When you buy players for such exorbitant amount, they are expected to be game changers like Mata or Aguero. Not garbage like Carroll, Downing and Henderson. Of course some idiots might argue that we can't attract those players because of our league position but how did we get someone like Suarez then? And who said we needed to spend big to get quality anyway? How much did Van Der Vaart cost?

we are going backwards.

I personally would give Kenny another season because of what hes previously done for the club (thats how he got the job here in the first place, his application wouldnt have been looked at by any other side)

if you'd give Kenny another season can you sound like you're backing him please?

Seriously? The tone of your posts seem to hint that you want him sacked.

Kenny deserves another season to show that he can make real progress in the league. If he wins the FA cup then a domestic double is something to be proud of, but it doesn't hide or paper over the fact that we have continually shot ourselves in the foot in league matches this season.

He needs to re-evaluate his transfer policy because it hasn't worked. I know Carroll and Suarez weren't his signings, but Adam, Downing and Henderson were and none have impressed. Ian Holloway must have had sh*t in his eyes to ever compare Adam with Xabi Alonso, if I was Alonso I'd feel insulted by such a comparison. Adam was a big fish in a small pond, a stand out player in a team full of Championship players. For £7m you can't complain, but you can when Kenny had Aquilani and Meireles in his pre-season squad and fast forward 8 months later and he is playing a midfield duo of Adam and Spearing.

Djibril Cisse has done more in 4 league matches for QPR then Andy has done for us in 25 league matches this season. This buying British policy is acceptable if you're shopping for food items, but when it comes to football, then you need to sign the best quality, irrespective of their nationality. I mean couldn't Kenny have gone for Scott Parker over Charlie Adam? He would have been 2m cheaper, too.

Our owners have every right to be disappointed with our league form this season, especially given the amount they have invested in the squad on players. 2 wins in 14 league matches and 4 defeats in the last 5 matches is grossly unacceptable. That's relegation form and if Roy or Rafa was here and this was happening, there would be plenty of threads and posts calling for them to be removed as soon as possible.

Buy British policy ??

Coates
Enrique
Suarez
Doni

That's 4 players signed in the last 12 months that aren't British.

How can Kenny rectify his mistakes when he refuses to accept them? Yesterday, before the match, Kenny repeated his claim that our squad was playing "at the top of their game"...until he accepts he has f**red up then we are going to continue to fail in the league.

Seems like not all of our fans understand the Liverpool way.  What would it possibly achieve if Kenny came out in public and said "I messed up, we signed some cack players and our league form is dreadful".

What do people think that would achieve?  Do you think it would be nice to have the media and other teams fans laughing at us?

Im sure this kind of discussion will happen behind closed doors with the appropiate people at the end of the season.

We've already achieved far more than last season while we haven't even being able to field our best players in the same team.  Lucas, Gerrard, Suarez, Agger etc

Did you not hear his pre-match interview with radio 5? He spouted on about how proud the team can be with its performances this season.

No one is asking for him to slate the team, but to say the stuff he is spouting is embarrassing

I am of the opinion that he should be given another season to redeem himself. If he's going to continue with the current squad of Carroll, Downing, Adam, Spearing, Henderson, it will be downhill next season. And if the performance this time next year is like this season without any improvements in sight regardless of who he signed in the coming summer, then he must be sacked. There is no time for sentiments.

Who gives a flying f*ck what is said in the media - move on from it. You don't have the first clue what goes on behind closed doors.

You really have the blinkers on, don't you benny? If Kenny doesn't rate his flops, why does he pick them every week? Why insult the fans by declaring that he can't ask them to give anymore.

Kenny honestly believes these guys are the future.

Who should he pick instead then ?

As I said to you yesterday - just because you have written them of as failures doesn't mean the club and manager have just yet. They seem to want to show a bit more paitence than some "fans".

Trophy count this season = 1

Trophy count in previous 6 seasons = 0

We are in the same position as we were last season plus we have won a trophy and have a great chance at another.

Guess what that means - overall progress as a club.
