Quite a few great games with these three... Tyler in the Collymore 4-3, Tyldsley in Istanbul.

John Motson was dreadful. Awful voice, scripted, nerdy type. Constantly makes errors, and came up with cringeworthy nonsense.. "the sausages will be sizzling back home I should think"... i wanted England to lose almost because of him.

clive `that night in barcelona` tyldsley is a united fan, he`s from the greater manchester area and grew up watching them, martin `yes, yes, yes for manchester united` tyler isnt a manc but he may as well be.
motson is a bit of a wet blanket but he`s also a legend of broadcasting, commentating on games only started in the mid 60`s and motson started on the telly in the early 70`s, the likes of motson and jimmy hill may not be everyones cup of tea but they are pioneers of broadcasting. things what we take for granted these days like having players and managers as studio guests, slow motion replays, co-commentators, goal of the month and goal of the season competitions, interviewing players and managers after the game, putting team line ups on the screen before the game etc were all thought up and pioneered by the likes of hill in the mid to late 60`s and early 70`s.
people like motson, barry davies, david coleman, brian moore etc are legends, classic lines rolled off their tongues, modern commentators are manufactured just like the `classic lines` that they obviously thought up the night before.

I used to love Old Gerald Sinstadt ,now he's a real legend .

I have no problem with John Motson. In 1992 he put together a video on LFC's centenary and did a great job. I still have that on on video cassette.

Barry Davies was a good commentator and who can forget Kenneth Wolstenholme who perhaps has come out with the most famous quote of all time?
Bill Shankly: “I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I’d break my wife’s legs if I played against her, but I’d never cheat her.”

You'd be better off finding one of those streaming websites to watch footie matches, that's what I do.

Wish the lad well by all means, but cut the "I know him best" tripe because the people who know him best are his family, and they are too busy being at his bedside caring for the guy.

I'm not being funny, but how many footballers all around the world have collapsed with heart conditions? Hundreds. As sad as it is to see Fabrice Muamba suffer a Cardiac Arrest, he is not the only person in the world to suffer such a horrible, tragic condition. I hope the lad makes a speedy recovery but this whole "football family" nonsense gets right up my nose.

many ex Liverpool players that work for Sky are leaving.
jamie redknapp has had a big bust up with them about something that happend during half time in a live show.
he has two years left with his contract with them but is trying to get out of it.
Sky has never liked Liverpool.
Liverpool FC have asked players not to go on live shows. (to sit there during live tv games)

Talk sports reported the above about two weeks ago and was reported again last week when the bbc leak info on The 96.

if that is true my guess would be that the bust up happened during our game at united, at one point there was a tackle from behind on suarez were redknapp was adamant that ferdinand never got the ball and as he was last man he should have been off, to me it looked like ferdinand did get the ball but redknapp wasnt having any of it.
when they came back to the studio after an advert break the presenter made a joke about the `discussion` continuing through the adverts and when the camera panned back onto redknapp, neville and fletcher the three of them had bright red faces and they were all sporting forced smiles, you could tell they`d had words with each other and were trying to put on a brave face for the camera`s.
when they were discussing the handshake that wasnt and a wider point about respect between players redknapp said `i`ve got to be honest when i was in the england squad i didnt like gary, he probably didnt like me but you just get on with it`
redknapp gets a bit of stick from some reds who thought he was a bit anti rafa but to be fair to him he was fighting liverpools cause that day, his arguments got a bit irrational because he was obviously ***** off and was just saying anything to ***** neville off.

I saw it. It was basically two onto one with the manc tw@ts ganging up on Redknapp.
He did have a go back but the presenter had to change the subject because there was an atmosphere.
What did they expect when they were already against us because of Suarez, especially after Evra pulled his hand back?
