Listen we were very lucky to get a second in the first place. We were beaten by Spurs comfortably and not surprisingly we were beaten by Ajax comfortably. This doesn't mean we haven't got quality youngsters coming through the ranks, it means that unsurprisingly other clubs also have great youth systems.

we werent beaten by spurs comfortably mate, we battered spurs but couldnt put away any of our chances, we missed about 4 clear one on one`s and a plethora of other chances, i think they only had 1 chance in the game and scored.
the team that totally outplayed us in the group stages home and away was sporting lisbon, they took the p1$$ out of us to be honest, played us off the park.
ajax are a good side but we made them look better than they were with some kamikaze defending and poor goalkeeping, it was the keepers first game for us since he signed from wrexham and to be fair he had a nightmare but name me a keeper that has never had a bad game? mind you he wasnt exactly helped by our defenders passing to their forwards when everyone else was up the pitch waiting for a long ball and leaving ajax with a 4 on 2 attack, or like another one of their goals when one of our defenders was trying to twist and turn on the edge of our box but got the ball taken off him and left their striker through on goal in a one on one situation, then there was wisdom giving away a pen when their player was going nowhere and looked like he was running the ball out of play.
a few of our forwards look very promising especially adorjan, sterling, suso and the lad on loan silva but i`m not convinced about the defenders and midfielders, still early days mind.
