I cant recall missing a player as much as we clearly miss Lucas ,not even Gerrard who at times virtually carried
the club was missed as much as the calming influence Lucas provides for the fans and players alike  when his
name is included on the team sheet.

we definitely miss him mate, Lucas-Gerrard midfield is way more effective than spearing-henderson-adam one. Adam looked like a really good player with Lucas as well

Agreed, Adam looked good when Lucas freed up the space for him to move forward .

:D That made me laugh mate.

We really miss his goal scoring skills and his multiple assists...Lucas while probably the best in his position on the team hasn't affected our main weakness this season ,which is lack of creativity in the Midfield and scoring....

Yep another convincing argument...Just keep it coming. Cause correct me if i'm wrong we hardly scored before his injury and we sure as death didn't score after ,even in games where we controlled the midfield (which is Lucas job no?)...So Unless You are confusing him with another Brazilian i'm pretty sure you are having a laugh...

If people think that not having Lucas in our team at the moment isn't a major issue then people are blind and have no understanding of the game whatsoever!

yes he is important, which begs the question why haven't we bought a back up player?  Spearingt is woefully short on ability and isn't good enough to step up as a direct like-for=like replacement

no doubt we miss lucas this season as he has improved but i wouldnt go as far as to say we would be in the top 4 if he was here.
yes its a position we are struggling in but this lad isnt a creative player and while he will shore up the defensive end of it he creates zero in the final third which is where our problems lie.
he was a star in a bad side last year and he emerged a better player but this season was the one that we would really see how much he progressed and he was unfortunate to suffer such a bad injury.
but the question is how much better off would we be if he was still in the side?.imo we wouldnt be much better off than we are and to suggest that lucas is some sort of pele that makes our side tick is way off the mark.
we should be well able to cope without him as we should have adequate replacements in adam and spearing.the fact that both of these have underachieved massively has us thinking lucas is something special.

I doubt if Lucas would have made much, if any difference
We havent been creative enough and the woodwork count is unbelievable.
Defence hasnt been too bad, so Lucas wouldnt have helped the lack of goals

I think its a bit short sighted to say Lucas is just a DM and wouldn't help with creating/scoring chances.
In theory, thats true.  But Lucas is such a good DM that he allows others around him to get forward without them having to worry about tracking back etc.

Adam was showing his best form when he was in the centre with Lucas.  Gerrard, since he's being back has being playing quite deep which he probably wouldn't be doing with Lucas in the side.

Its also no coincedence that our dreadful league form dates back to just after Lucas's injury.

we were playing better before lucas got injured but you answered your own question in the first 2 lines of your post.
we also were struggling to win games when he was here and yes we are defensively better off when he plays but he offers nothing in the final 3rd.his best partnership was imo with merieles and that is why he was much better last year as he could do what he does in breaking up things while merieles got forward created chances and scored goals.
we lost merieles and no one has stepped up to the plate since and justified a reason on why we got rid of him.

We drew 4 of our first 6 home games with lucas in the team, and were passed off the pitch by Swansea.

Hes obviously a good player, but hes not a game changer.

In terms of outfield, we have two world class players in Gerrard and Suarez.
