4th... is it still achieveable?

Well it's no use complaining about the quality of our players now... We will have to make do with this lot until the summer. KK needs to find a winning formula and I'm a lil disappointed he hasn't found one yet... It seems to me like the winning formula includes Bellamy because most of our rare emphatic wins is with Bellamy... But I'm not sure why he can't play often enough...

not by my reckoning it isnt.
yeah its still possible points wise but we need a serious overhaul from the stuff we are playing.
we dont have the creativity the players or the goals to do it.weve netted 29 goals in 25 games and i cant see that improving any time soon.

Not this season. My guess is 5th at best. Most likely 6th (above Newcastle). But I would give Kenny a chance. Spurs were near the bottom when Uncle Arry took over. But they steadily improved through the years. Look where they are now. Already, we're playing way much better than when Roy was in charge. Kenny needs to be given time to instil his ways and methods into the team, bringing in the players that he wants, while throwing out the trash. That will only be done in 2-3 years time..... unless some super rich tycoon buys us. In the meantime, like it or not, we'll just have to bear with a work in progress

We absolutely can, but I don't expect us to.  Arsenal and chelsea are inconsistent, but not as inconsistent at us.  Newcastle could very well finish ahead of us.  They go thru streaks where they don't win for 4 games, then win 4 in a row.

It will be tough, but we can do it.  We just need a really good run of games to get the boys going.  But again, I don't think we'll finish 4th.

Mathmatically its very possible, but i personally think we have little chance of taking 4th spot due to our lack quality and inconsistency. We dont score enough goals to mount a serious challenge to Arsenal and Chelsea. We have only won 10 league games all year which is terrible at this stage of the season. Personally im hoping for double cup glory, my heads says we fill finish 6th above Newcastle, my heart hopes we finally pull our fingers out go on a run wins and climb the table, eventually taking the 4th spot, but whenever i watch us play that seems less and less likely.

Its VERY doable, we have both Chelsea and Arsenal at home (and we have a good chance of beating them both)... however i agree with this.

We have a game at Sunderland in a few weeks and i can see us getting turned over. If we do then that will pretty much be the end of that. We dont have enough quality in midfield especially.

Win the Cup against Cardiff and i believe this a successful season. Something to build on for next year.

I agree with this. We have to start somewhere and winning a trophy would be the first step. We have an excellent chance in the FA Cup aswell. The only team I'd be wary of are Spurs as they say to be a bit of a bogey side for us recently. We have a great chance of the domestic cup double imo with a bit of luck. That would be a tremendous season.

I wish it was as simple as saying "well we've spent £100m under Kenny so anything other than 4th is a failure", especially when you're integrating so many new players into the side. Man City spent over £300m under Hughes and Mancini and still finished outside the top 4.

it is interesting that you say that. apart from Man City, we are the only team who remains unbeaten at home this season, and hopefully it remains that way.

the problem we have is that the players are not hungry, ruthless and determined enough. but that's the problem with most players from smaller club - when a bigger team buys them, they might think they have made it, and they might rest on their laurels or have nothing to prove anymore. this is all hypothetical but when i look at someone like Downing, it justifies my stance.

if the players were more clinical and had more desire to kill teams off at home at least, i am certain we would have at least another 8 points in the bag. sad to say, 4 players who actually have the correct mentality and desire aren't the future of the club - Gerrard, Bellamy, Carra and Kuyt - considering their age.

That's just it we are lacking that innovation in the final 3rd. We could go the rest of the season unbeaten at home and yet still finish 6th or 7th. Generally our squad is lacking a lot of technical ability, players with the ability to break down teams and until we get that 4th place is a dream

I would say a BIG AMEN to you guys.

We've spent too much money on average players like Carrol, Downing and Henderson. The only quality fit players we have in the side are Reina, Enrique, Skrtel, Agger, Gerrard and Suarez.

Its football anything can happen, thats whats great about the sport.i could say theres no way we could get 4th but if we win or next two games and the other teams above us get beat we would all be saying we can get 4th.

Of course we can, we're only 4 points behind.  It will require us going on a bit of a run though, something we haven't really done all season.  I think winning the Carling Cup would give us a major confidence boost.

how are arsenal 4th, honestly?

take RVP out and they'd be a bottom half of the table side.
