MANCHESTER UNITED VS LIVERPOOL - 11/02/2012 12.45pm ko

Liverpool Football Club - Games

I had to watch that rubbish with a Man U fan.

Very disappointed with the attitude of the players today. The second goal seemed to take the wind out of their sails, and even after Suarez scored there seemed to be no urgency or belief - that hurts.

intense stuff from kenny in the post-match. Gotta get the whole media thing sorted sooner rather than later. Dont have much of a problem with Kenny being a d!ck in many of his interviews but things could have easily boiled up between Suarez-Evra and some of the other players and as a manager he has to have more of an active role in attempting to put an end to that.

Once again we were exposed as a team very short on quality.

Can you really see John Henry and co wanting to invest in rehauling this squad when they dished out the guts of £85m in the last 12 months on what is looking more and more like complete dross?

Only thing I can take from this day is that the current Man Utd side is a far cry from some of their trophy winning sides of the past. If we'd turned up and played like that against some of those sides we would have been beat 5. Given that they had virtually nothing to do defensively all day yet still managed to concede a schoolboy level goal - AND the fact that we handed them their two goals wrapped up in a little bow Im now convinced that they are not winning the league this season.

KK is so passionate. Can't fault him for that.  Alas though,  it leads him to those same knee jerk reactions that most (if not all) of us are guilty of.

Agreed Ace, we have to put an end to this and MOVE ON! we can't dwell on the past and be bitter about it.

I've been one of the biggest supporters of Suarez in his case and defended him on here, but what's done is done and its time to look forward to the future

it is out, its in the report!

I was having a discussion with someone last night and he said 'Suarez shouldnt have called him a n**ger.' Dunno what the hell that boy has read but that word isn't even mentioned in the report. The media's reporting of the whole thing has been completely reckless and its destroyed his image and it'll destroy ours as a club by defending him. Then if we don't defend him we get the 'well why don't you defend him' like thrown at us. Its lose lose Daws, as much as I hate to say it

What dissapointed me that you had players who are over 35 years old teaching our players a footballing lesson in midfield.

Heat of moment stuff, god some people are so obsessed with media

I think if  Luis didnt want shake the guy's hand then so be it, in the end only the two of them are going to know what really was said.

Away from that distracting sideshow the big worry for me is, our new owners came through with the dosh.
We got these home grown lads who cost more but will be better then some souless foreign merc or so the cliches go.
Yet its not really panning out that way

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalgish on Luis Suarez's refusal to shake Patrice Evra's hand before kick-off, and whether that led to an alleged bust-up between Manchester United and Liverpool players in the tunnel at half-time: "I never knew Suarez refused to shake Evra's hand. I wasn't there, I never saw it. It's contrary to what I've been told. I think you're bang out of order to blame Luis Suarez for anything that happened here today. The majority of the fans behaved very well today, with a bit of banter between them."

No thought ,no courage ,no results. A mix of cowardly (Kenny ,Downing) ,Brainless (Johnson ,Hendo ,Spearing) ,skill less (Kuyt) display. Sitting deep ,playing a sole striker and hoping for the best isn't managing it's gambling ,and in Gambling we all know the house usually wins.

The CL bubble has pretty much exploded.

As ever a voice of reason amongst some if the utter, utter tripe posted on here at times.

We didn't play well and I don't think we picked the right team, but then again hindsight is a wonderful thing and none of us know what niggles or strains players are carrying at this time of the season, only the coaching staff do. So lets leave it to them.

I keep going on about perspective, but we lose 2-1 away from home against a team now top of the league (and we're 7th) at a ground where we've failed to win for several years.  Is it the end of the world?  No.  It hurts but it's not disaster is it?
