The perfect example of this is when smalling(?) played that horrible cross to evans right infront of carroll, and he didnt even try to chase the ball.

the formation right now isn't working... we're on the back foot... hopefully Kenny changes it during half time...

Carra ain't a DM. No way. He has no pace to close down across the width and his positioning is seriously poor.

Carroll's trying to close down, but he's doing it all alone. Two or three times I saw him close down only for the ball to be moved. He'd look over his shoulder and see no team mates helping out. Hard work. I don't envy him. Kuyt would be better than Maxi for his. He'd close down his flank.

We need to press, press, press! The crowds roaring. If we continue to sit back, the crowd will get depressed and Manure will be in firm control  :(

Downing and maxi yet to really get the ball

We have Carragher in midfield. A non footballer. No surprise we have 38% possession at home. Kenny's team selection is a repeat of Bolton. Man U are decimated with injuries, are there for the taking, yet they are strolling it and we have been pinned deep in our own half.

Shelvey on for Carragher, Bellamy on for Carroll. Instantly hopefully otherwise the inevitable will happen.

I don't think you can press anyone down by gently jogging towards them, that's never going to trouble anyone even if it may look a tad close at times. The problem with Andy is that he never runs.

Don't agree... this is anfield, the mancs has a weaker team... this game is it...

My point exactly. We know Carroll isn't a pacey player. So what on earth are we asking him to use his pace for?

Carra is total :censored: in that position! See how much space Park had there? FFS.

Downing can't cross from the right. He has to be played on the left

We WILL LOSE this game if we continue with this setup...
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.
