I live a mile from the Coryton refinery that is going bankrupt.
it took me 30 mins to get any today and right now theres a run on the pumps.
my best mate works for Vopak that runs from west thurrock and he say they they will not be able to make up the short full as sometimes even they have to fill up Coryton.
theres not just the rear that my area is going to be hit very hard by the loss of 1000 jobs but also that its going to cost hell of a lot more to fill up.
Stanford le hope (that covers corringham) is a small are and abuout 60% that live here are working at the refinery or jobs linked to it.
why the Gov did not step in to sort this out before xmas is a joke.
