Whats ur point? i said hes not the first name on the team sheet and hes still played about 80% of the games and played well when he has. Hed walk into our team. AC are not overplaying him so he doesnt burnout, hes still quality when called on. Its a squad game ya see.

My point is I agree with you. Hes played in 15 out of the 19 games and is a class player who should have stayed.

4 offensive signings that has contributed practically zero offensivly. Sitting a 7th just can't be justified for me combined with the dross we are playing right now.

He has still given chance after chance to Adam, Downing, henderson and they still fail to produce anything on the pitch and that is infurating at time. We spent a shedload of money are getting nothing in return. We could just as well have spent nothing and still be around where we are at the table.

6 months - that is all people are giving him and his current signings .

As I said instant results is all that matters.

But I want to see signs of improvement, a light a the end of the tunnel, but with Caroll, Adam especially I don't see that at all.
Just not good enough quality to take us places.
Same with Downing and henderson soon too.
They have been here long enough to show me something, maybe just in a few games. But so far zilch, nada...

There is your problem - Henderson is 20 and has years ahead of him , he has shown himself to have ability and potential - because he isn't showing himself to be world class week in week out people will say he is giving nothing . He is like Lucas was at that age and will get better - he needs time and will be given it

Adam - as poor as he is currently was doing ok before Lucas got injured , he is someone to give us a bit of squad depth

Carroll - jury is out with Carroll and it will be interesting to see how it works out - it he got himself confident we could see the Carroll we saw at Newcastle ( but it's tough being patient with him ) .

Downing - he is the most disappointing due to his age and the fact he has been in the prem a while , he suffered early on due to chances he created being missed by everyone and his confidence has suffered . Get him confident ( easier than Carroll ) and we could see him providing a good outlet for us .

We have also signed Bellamy , Suarez , Enrique and Coates , the first 3 are success while he last looks to have very good potential.

The reality of the situation is not all transfer work out , if you get more wrong than right then you suffer ( but ou can't judge that after 6 months ) , we are also currently trying to rebuild the playing side of our club and that is going to take time .

This time last year Hodgson had just left , we were 9th or 10th around 15 plus points away from a CL spot and closer to the bottom half of the table - the improvement since then is great - we are challenging for a CL spot , we have a second leg of a semi final coming up. It is exciting times ahead - I just worry that sections of the fanbase won't show enough paitence to let the club develop.

I brought up Aqua because when we signed him he was injured and Rafa was crucified for it but when we do the same with Carroll whos far worse a player and cost 15 mill more nothing is said by the same supporters. Far enough we were rushed into the Carroll deal but we still had a choice to sit on the money. I dont think theres a supporter out there who if u twisted their arm wouldnt say we should of waited.

Henderson will become a brilliant player, Adam never, Downing may pick up his game next year but even so 20 mill was not good business. Even Enrique has started to :censored:

You need to go read the Carroll thread - he and Kenny are both getting crucified for the signing.

The Aquilani/Rafa situation was nearly 2 years ago now - its time to move on , he was signed to replace Xabi and played 8 games in a time when money was tight we needed someone to go straight into the first team.

he was never given a fair crack at anything here and once rafa left neither woy or kenny wanted him and loaned him out.kenny had him playing in preseason and he was one of the better players and gave us the creativity we need.
despite that he was shipped out again by kenny along with merieles because they didnt feature in his plans ahead of adam and hendo.
it had nothing to do with him being "made of glass" it was because the manager just didnt rate or want him here.
kenny gambled on hendo,adam and downing being a success and he is losing.

You doubt Kenny u dont support Liverpool etc. How many of these "faithfuls" were saying enough foriegners lets bring in british prem proven. Theyll be hungrier no more about what it is to play for Liverpool. Well that myths been put the bed atleast.

Agree on Aqua i just brought him up coz hes Rafas Carroll in a way.

this whole argument about players having an advantage because they're "premiership proven" is a load of garbage imo, in the same way that people doubt players because they've "only done it in league x,y and z".

when or to whom did he say he didnt want to play in the prem?
im not saying he didnt but i dont recall ever seeing or read an interview where he has said that.
his move was for 1 thing,gametime and he wasnt going to get that here over the new shiny recruits and that also,was as clear as day.

we couldnt sell him after trying and kenny decided then he would loan him out again which is a clear indication that he wasnt wanted despite how well he played in preseason.

even though we most likely dont agree on the reasons he isnt here, i for one dont believe we would be any worse if he was.
