Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Ola Mr Benitez » Tue Jan 10, 2012 5:25 pm

I have seen this getting a few mentions on a couple of Liverpool sites.  Could be a good idea...

"It wouldn't be a bad idea if instead of a usual flag day, if this was made Dalglish Day and people were encouraged to bring and display as many Kenny related flags and banners as possible. It keeps people away from the Evra Suarez stuff (much as we're all desperate to make our point on that) and shows some much needed support for one of the most dignified men in football, a legend, our legend, our manager who is getting a ridiculous hammering in the press."
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Absolutely.  Fantastic idea.  The man is taking so much heat for standing up for his football club.  I think a lot of people are extremely jealous with the relationship our manager has with the club, the players and the fans.

great shout!
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Cant we have both?

Good idea by the way. Dalglish has always carried himself in the most dignified way as is possible. He has proven he is a man of the people, he has done everything he possibly could with regards to the Hillsborough tragedy, he has worked with his wife for charity. He is a true legend of the game and of the people.
Bill Shankly: “I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I’d break my wife’s legs if I played against her, but I’d never cheat her.”

we need to spread this around a little and see if it can happen. Great tribute to a great man

Read this on Rawk... i agree.. Kenny deserves every bit of support hes given as hes pretty much running the club (personally took the brunt of the cr@p thrown at us)

As far as im concerned only Steven matches his legendary status.
"Its not just any other club" C.Tyldsley
"Liverpool are a special institution" X.Alonso
"Anfield es un templo de fútbol" AS
"The English club prove miracles do exist" D.Maradona
"Theres not one club in the world so united with its fans. Liverpool fans sent shivers down my spine" J.Cruyff
