Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

its a good job fat, tall, short, ugly, regionally different to the abuser, ginger, gay (to a point, it does get touchy sometimes), old, unemployed, single parent or posh people dont all get upset by others callin em names - we'd have nothin else in the news. Racism's wrong, needs stampin out i agree. But while this country insists on promotin positive discrimination its not gonna go away. Read that article Thommo linked to and it even states in there that 'there aren't enough black people doing these jobs within the FA....' Hmmm, could that possibly be they'v taken the best person for the job? Why should someone be abused? On the same level why should someone get preferential treatment because of their color? The awful unpleasant truth is it becomes a vicious circle, and while one exists so will the other. Problem is that stopping positive discrimination leads to calls of racism and so on. Same thing with sexism.

Jeez, it'd be nice to go a week with just football on the football pages ffs

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

Lakes, you and Benny can go fk yourselves really. the problem with the both of you is that you're so high up your pompous horses that you're unable to see reality. abuses can happen anyway and everywhere, be it during the match, or in the tunnel before the game. it can be said by a player to another, or by some fans. it can be made verbally, or posted online. it cannot be controlled because there are too many factors involved.

if the both of you had things your way, football would be managed like North Korea.

i don't condone racism, coming from me, being in a secular country where we mingled with people of different races everywhere we go. but some people need to man up, and others need to accept that not everybody is gonna behave like you do.

You do realise you can go to a football and support and cheers without throwing abuse .

You can start throwing lectures about football crowds when you actually go to a prem game instead of watching it on telly or playing a computer game .

You are right people do throw abuse around in all walks of life - you have made three posts in the last 15 mins and each one throws abuse - you punishment will hopefully reflect that - do it to someone's face and you would wake up in hospital .

i wouldn't bother listening to the garbage you spew from your screen bennytheloon.

you're the same guy who said that "the ref was right to send the keeper off because it was assault" without even considering that the keeper was probably doing it to defend himself maybe because the fan may have had a weapon? Here

you're too warped up in your own world with your own uptight values and stuck up nature thinking everybody should be as boring as you.

I was talkin in general mucka, I'm ginger (well, i was before the first half in Istanbul where i went almost grey overnite!!) and I'v had it all my life. Half the problem now is all the pc brigade that encourage people to be 'sensitive' and attempt to wipe out personality from the masses.

I ignore those that wanna 'abuse' me cuz i'm ginger, if I'm in a sit down environment and have the opportunity I'll rearrange the letters in ginger and ask if they'd call me that and its amazin how many refer to me by name after. I dont dislike them for doin it, i laugh at their inadequacy and insecurity usually and find its the best way to deal with them but theres always one thats insistent. Quite how a football club could be held responsible for 1 individual in a crowd of 40,000+ is beyond me, but the sensationalists would have u believe its possible.

I'v had to 'educate' guys that work for me about 3rd party accusation and the threat it brings to their livelihood when all theyre doin is banter between workmates.... its got ridiculous when all races/creeds/sexes/ages take the pi$s out of each other and sensitive souls feel the need to make it stop cuz its 'hurtful'. Out and out vicious nastiness needs addressin i have no problem with that whatsoever, but so does the needy, tearful sensitivity that individuals feel harms their lives so badly.

Hit the guy that shouted it with a lifeban (from the clubs point of view, and let the police do what the CPS say should happen) if the accusations true, but if its misheard and wrong then lets hear the accusation withdrawn and move on.

I'm calm Dawson - he is very lucky he said to me what he did on a forum . Saying it in the real world he would see a different reaction.

everything you say has to be filtered.
every word you utter or type might be interpreted as an insult.
would it be objectively or subjectively my lord?

see what society is today? it's too sensitive for its own good.
