Would have liked to have seen Bellamy play, just wondering where our goals are coming from tonight.

We are short on attacking options now anyway so Bellamy aside and Gerrard not 100% theres little room for much else really. Hang in there and maybe have a pop last 30 mins if we can like.

Disapointing lineup. Will be happy if we grind out a result but cant see us going toe to toe. I reckon we will be on the back foot for the majority of the game.

All round the fields of Anfield Road

Simple. We've seen it a million times over the years and it will be no different today. Regardless of whether Bellamy, Gerrard, Maxi or Suarez start or dont, we'll have to defend well and look to be clinical on the counter and from setpieces. The team selected tonight reflects that and if they do a job at the back then we have a chance of getting a result.

Ideally, we would have had Bellamy and Gerrard starting for Downing and (Adam/Henderson) but if we can defend well the first half and bring on our big guns in the second half against tired legs then we have a good chance of nicking it.

i got no complaints bout bein on the back foot jus so long as we're on our game - we have a solid defence that can break fast on counter attack and they seem a little susceptible to it. I just wanna see us in the game when the time comes to bring on the likes of Gerrard and either Maxi or Bellamy. Just need no injuries at the back tonight to disrupt anythin we've built so far in that area
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

Bit of a gamble this. Defensive looking line-up and no real pace in the attack, albeit with options to come off the bench. Time for some of the other lads to step it up and in a big way. How will Carroll fare with no Gerrard in the side? Will Downing finally step up and deliver end product? Will Henderson get more involved? Will Kuyt score a tap in?

Whatever happens I'm confident we'll either win, lose or draw.

I also think the line up is respectful of the fact that the line up City have tonight have scored 35 goals compared to our line ups 8 goals. Sure we have a chance but we have to be sensible and keep the season goal of CL in mind.

Starting an attacking line up will only risk a heavy defeat.

10 men behind the ball tactic, then bring in Gerrard 2nd half and lump it to Carroll to score the winning goal..
