Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Kukilon wrote:Hendersson is by far a much crappier player than Kuyt. It's things like this that destroys footballs clubs. Players should be picked upon performance and Hendersson should by that standard be playing in the reserves.

Kuyt is a winger/striker, Henderson is/should be played as a midfielder.

Anyway, we shouldn't get rid of Kuyt if he doesn't want to leave. If he wants to then he's free to leave cos we don't need him anyway and we can find someone better and younger to replace him.

I get the feeling we could be seeing the last moments of Kuyt in a Liverpool shirt, the lad doesnt look right to me. He is still effective for us but has slipped down the pecking order and still has market value in terms of being a make weight in a deal or a transfer fee. Could be he is off in the window or if not I suspect certainly in the summer.

Kuyt played well last night when he came on and I fear that will be his role from now on.
Whether he is happy being a bit part player will be the question

I don't think he will be, to be honest and i can see him going in the summer.

If Kuyt goes then the likes of Henderson, Adam and Downing have all gotta lot to do to fill them boots. Even Maxi, who tbh could have been gone earlier, needs to pick his overall game up.
Kuyt's lack of goals this season has been a huge surprise, tho never prolific he could often be relied on to pull somethin outta nothin on occasion but not of late. I still think he's got a big role to play and hope he sees it that way too but with less games to be played this season then theres less call for rotation and it'd appear Kenny wants his own signings to come good sooner rather than later and game times whats gonna bring that to the fore.
Shame for Kuyt, he never gives less than 100% in any game, which is somethin the new boys could pick up on
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

Dirk Kuyt.. scores a goal, clears one of the line, scores a pen when we were massively up against it.

Nobody deserves a medal more for the tireless effort hes put in over 6 years.

Joint MOTM with Downing for me... He came on for the last few minutes and completely changed the game.  Well done Kuyt, thrilled you finally got that medal you've deserved for so long.

Downing was playing better but Dirk along with Skrtel had the most contribution to the game.

came up with the goods, although a little disapointed with his post match interview with the Beeb when he complained about only playing 30 mins
