Fallout's story was its biggest let down. So short. If you play games for story then Fallout is a bit of a let down, its all of the extra stuff that make the game amazing. If Skyrim is more immersive in those terms then it would be incredible, would be well worth a shot. Might have to get in on this :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

RPGs are also my favorite type of games but Skyrim is just too much for me. It might be one of the best games ever but it would take a lot of game time to truly experience the game and I just can't do it. I'm more into games like Assassin's Creed or the somewhat bigger Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

Greavsie,

Its a decent game, but for me its had its day already and got traded in after only a couple of weeks.

Picture it as saints row in the who framed roger rabbit cartoon, you go from one absurd mission To another, zany like a japanese game show.

The cars are good but gun wise unless you upgrade early doors its a bit of a chore doing the basic missions. Also, outside of the main missions i didnt find much to draw me in.

Its nothing like saints row or gta ( in terms of the criminal elements ).

Its all a bit bleh

FFS man, its lower now around 6.7%  :D  I had a horrible round and I ended up missing all my targets with a sniper rifle

Daws, I finished the Stormcloack quests, pretty intense, I'm just doing a lot of side quests (Lvl 25), did you find blackreach yet?

I have no idea lol. I done all the mage stuff, im head of the companions now but loads of little things to do there. I'm also a werewolf. I need to lure someone to be sacrificed for soemthing else, and im collecting parts of a knife

I've barely touched the main quest, trying to make it last as long as possible :D

I was given Skyrim at Xmas. Having been a fan of Oblivion I'm obviously enjoying this one.

On about level 4 or 5 ? at the minute. Just been to see the Greybeards who've taught me how to shout ! , Oh yeah and the head honcho of some town gave me a foxy lookin' female warrior type to act as my servant, I'm thinkin' about killin' her so I can strip her gear off, she's that hot !

:D

You mean Lydia woof :D

Don't worry you get another hot looking chick warrior when you become Thane of Riften. You know you can marry your servant! But I wouldn't do that if I were you they would just moan and cause a headache lol. Marry a nice looking girl who would provide income.

I just love exploring the place, its a massive world

The head honcho of some town did make me "Thane" of something or other and gave me the girl but her name's not Lydia, must be the other one.

Just realised how vague I am on this,  I think I better pay more attention to where I am, what I am and what the characters in the game are telling me.

:D

Just been browsing the internet. Apparently on PC and PS platforms Skyrim is riddled with bugs.

A Techie journo has published a piece lambasting Bethesda for their poor quality control (game testing) suggesting that if you bought (for example) a car with so many faults you'd return it to the vendor and get your money back.

He does acknowledge that the game is awesome and it seems as though despite it faults the sheer popularity of the game with fans of the series has allowed the publishers to get away without due and deserved criticism.

well, on Xbox it's fine  :D

only about 5% sales comes from pc, so they just don't really care, which does suck, but it's still the biggest game around

Here you go mate, spoke to our main man s@int about it he gave me these solutions and it worked, no mouse lag anymore :nod

Fixing the ini files will stop the mouse being "laggy" and change the field of view from being only suitable for a console to being right for a computer. The FOV when you get it is about 80..... I changed it to 90 which seems about right.
Easier to just copy the instructions I used rather than trying to explain. :-

How do I fix the crash to desktop?
Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sound
In the Playback tab, right click on Speakers (or whatever has a green tick next to it), then click Properties
In the advanced tab on this new window, select 24 bit, 44100Hz (Studio Quality) in the drop down menu

How do I fix some sound issues, such as hearing static during NPC dialogue?
Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sound
In the Playback tab, right click on Speakers (or whatever has a green tick next to it), then click Properties
In the advanced tab on this new window, select 24 bit, 44100Hz (Studio Quality) in the drop down menu

How do I disable the smooth mouse settings?
Go to your Steam Directory -> steamapps -> common -> skyrim -> Skyrim
Create a backup of the SkyrimPrefs.ini file
Open the file, then scroll down to where it says [Controls] and find bMouseAcceleration=1
Change to bMouseAcceleration=0
Save, exit, and play

How do I fix the vsync ("laggy mouse") problem?
Go to your Steam Directory -> steamapps -> common -> skyrim -> Skyrim
Create a backup of the SkyrimPrefs.ini file
Open the file, then scroll down to where it says [Display]
Add to the bottom of the section iPresentInterval=0
Save, exit, and play

How do I change the FOV?
Go to your My Documents -> My Games -> Skyrim -> skyrim
Create a backup of the skyrim.ini file
Open the file, then scroll down to where it says [General]
At the bottom of this section, add fdefaultfov=XX (where XX is the FOV value you want to change to)
Save, exit, and play

I hope that helps woof
