For me this was one of Benitez's biggest successes. He set up our side to play to his strengths and as a result Torres went from being a guy who was never prolific in Spain to undoubtedly the best striker in the world for a 3 year period (07-09). His partnership with Gerrard a that time destroyedteams week in week out. He'll never hit those heights again imo.

Torres coming back in January will NEVER happen Chavs have lost Anelka and will lose Drogba to African cup of nations, this will leave them with Sturridge (who avb had called a winger) and Torres...

I don't care where he goes but it will never be in January

If we can get him for 15, then we get Carroll effectively for free despite the massive purchase price. Haha!

Gonzalo Higuan is the latest name to be linked with a move to the EPL. Villa is now not an option as he is injured. Higuan is more like the kind of player (young) that fits with Fenway Sports policy.

Would be a good move for us I reckon.

agree reg,the two of them would be phenomenal together.

looking back at the situation he finds himself in now id say he big time regrets leaving us.
