Exactly. Our problem this season is finishing.
Dunno which muppet said earlier we only had one real chance, I counted at least 4 clear-cut chances.
Carroll's shot straight at Schwarzer
Henderson shot off the inside of post
Bellamy skewed shot from 10 yards
Enrique shot saved on the line
What annoys me is the lack of finishing, Suarez is capable of finishing, Bellamy is capable of finishing, even carroll is capable of finishing yet this skill has been predominantly missing all season. I think we do need to shop in January for a Striker, a clinical one!
Don't forget the Downing drive tipped onto the post by Schwarzer...I was sure that was going in the top corner.
Didn't see the whole match but the hour or so I saw, we were all over them for long stretches. Even after Jay went off we looked threatening until the goal (bad mistakes by both GJ and Pepe on that one).
Chalk it up to a bad night at the office, our Monday jinx, another brilliant performance by an opposition keeper and our lack of utterly clinical finishing in front of goal but, for the love of all things holy, don't write us off just yet!
