Atmosphere at away games

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

been to a few this year and got to say that its not been good.
our fans start of great but soon we all seem to shut up untill the 85min.

even in our dark days it was not like this, lack of songs that are started by our fans is starting to stand out.

take the Arsenal game, we was all over them and for the first 25mins we took over the place, come the start of the 2nd half it was hard to get any songs going untill we was one up in the 78th min.

Brighton was the same.

its got to be down to lack of confidence in our team, we start to worry that we are not going to we or hold onto a good result.

I hope us fans can start to have the confidence in our team more as it must rub off on the players.

as a club we have always been more of a danger when we are a goal down, us fans would lift the team and the team would lift us.
I hope we can get back to this very soon as i do miss it.

dont get me wrong there are some fans that never give up trying to get the songs going.....but getting the rest to join in is getting harder.

Personally I feel its due to the lack of songs. We had a lot of catchy tunes for the players big and small during Rafas tenure but right now we only have Suarez's song.

The atmosphere inside the stadium wasn't the best but the away support outside the stadium and in the pubs was on top form.

Always had a better laugh at the away games . Much preferred them than the homes for atmosphere and abit of jiggery pokery . Having said that i haven't been to an away for two seasons and haven't been to a home game for over a season , so thing may be different .

I also think your start to get a better atmosphere when it starts to get darker.during the winter the 2nd half of the game is almost always under floodlights so i hope thats going to help.

I understand why it was falt at the spurs game....that was a given. but the Briton game was strange, the Briton fans were great to us before and after the game , we gave them stick and they gave us stick and we all had a bit of fun, but during the 2nd half our fans were very flat.
I felt very sorry for the poor guy that tried his best o get 3 songs going, a few of us tried to back him up but gave up in the end.

I actually think we have a better atmosphere on away matches considering the fact that our fans are in a way smaller numbers than the home fans. Like the last few away games with Bolton. Either those guys don't know how to sing or we're just too motivated probably because we kick their :censored: on every game, home or away.
The home games atmosphere is what worries me, it's far from the cheering that you would expect from Liverpool fans, except on derby games. I remember the last two games against West Ham. I know, we were in a lot of sh!t at that time and things didn't look good but West Ham were getting focking relegated and that didn't stop them from out singing us on our home ground.
Bottom line, I think that our cheering at the moment and for the past 2 seasons has been far from our best and we haven't lived up to our best fans in the world title. It might be normal for other teams but it shouldn't be for us. I only watch Liverpool on TV though, so my opinion on this topic doesn't matter much I guess.
