unlucky not to score, and also played some nice gootball. Expect to see him improve as he gets fitter and more confident in a red shirt

He took his goal well, but did little besides that to suggest he should stay in the side ahead of Bellamy. Carroll and Suarez for me isnt a good partnership but with both our forwards scoring and the side winning its hard to suggest that dropping one of them would be the way forward.

Carroll seemed to be doing a lot of work tracking back today and dropping off into midfield. Bit unusual really but maybe they are just trying to broaden his game and have him play in different areas of the field. I always saw him as an agressive lad who fought for posession but hes not shown that mean streak in a red shirt as yet. Its as if we took a rough diamond and are trying to turn him into a different player, but at this point it would seem that the bad boy Carroll may not have been clean living but was a better footballer under those conditions. Time will tell if he can live clean and play mean but somehow we have to find a way to get the best from him in this Liverpool team.

CARROLL!!!! Don't really care what anyone says, honestly NO ONE looked good today even after the sending off until Andy scored that goal, you could say it was due to subs etc etc but it doesn't really matter Andy was on the end of it and he was the one that knocked it into the net.  I was ecstatic when it went in.  Everton defended well.

Scored a goal but tbh didnt influence the game like i thought he might.

He has power and strength but today i rarely saw it, i wanted to see it, i wanted to see him muscling the everton defence around and to some extent everton did take their eye of Suarez by paying more attention to Carroll.

Still a dilemma for me, not sure that we can play to his strengths...................but then im not sure what his strengths are!!!!!!

Still early in the season so there is much much room for improvement, but we have options now, would like to see a suarez/bellamy partnership in a few games.

We know kuyt and suarez can play together, bellamy has a decent football brain, has bundles of pace and i think would link up well with luis.

Andy and Luis are still sorting that partnership out

first off, credit when its due, nice goal and tight execution.
but more improvement needed.
someone mentioned we should play more pass and move instead of pumping up to Carroll,
but there is no pass if there is no move,
Carroll need to improve his poor control and movement.
work hard Carroll!!!

people said we were lucky against Arensal and Everton, but we were lucky because we made our own luck, Suarez chased down every ball and pressure defenders into making mistakes. hope to see that from our big guy.

Andy did what he was supposed to do for me, created his own chances from his aerial threat and was at the end of the deivery for the goal, thats all i rreally expect, had some decent lay offs but i think it will be Luis who drops back into midfield more often and is the more "creative" of the front pair. This is why we bought Andy, when the game is a scrap and we're not playing well, he can make something out of nothing with his power.

The goal was nothing special, anyone in the team should be able to do that from inside the box. The praise should fall on Bellamy & Enrique, without their input in that goal Andy would still be moping about wasting balls. Until I see some really good contributions from Andy I won't stop getting stuck into him.

Y'know if the he's guilty of anything its not knowing how to use his size  and physique to dominate at this level. Again he's a lad that needs time and coaching to become the force he could be. Just like Rushie, raw talent but too young to know how to focus it.

Didn't we used to say that about Emile Heskey.   :p

To be fair to Heskey he was an absolute handful on his day and the perfect partner for Owen.

It's a team game mate. And just because he cost 35mil he should be scoring quality goals every game? Give me a break. The lad is obviously short on confidence so every goal helps.

The last game he done well in and deserved a goal. He done ok yesterday and got a goal. But for me the problem isn't him, it's the service he gets, or doesn't rather.

Downing has gone a bit stale since the start of the season when he was one of our best players. Bellamy should probably start the next game, plus Stevie is back so either way I think we will see Carroll scoring more soon.
