I knew as soon as we had a really bad display people would say Aquilani and Mereiles going was a mistake. It was the same with Alonso. I bet the majority of fans weren't banging this drum after the Bolton game. Mereiles or Aquilani wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference yesterday.
