He's a ponderous, unfit, slow panzer with one track hanging off. Adebayor, same size, athletic, swift and nimble - no attribute DonkeyFeet could be accused of. He's simple not athletic enough to cope in the modern game - he should try rugby but I'm sure he's neither fit enough for that game either.

More worrying is he doesn't fit Suarez's style. Suarez needs someone equally fast and fit, equally instinctive, equally deft. He needs a Barcelona 'beautiful football' partner, not a a dray horse knackered after pulling the beer wagon all day.

Bellamy would have been more effective today alongside Suarez... provoking him, challenging him with thru balls and runs... none of which the Geordie baffoon could muster. Kuyt is a better provider, Bellamy a better finisher. Bring back N'gog. Shoot the pony tailed pretender.

I simply didn't see a player hurting by yesterday's ravaging, I didn't see a player with a response or any touch of genius to change the situation. Big Carol simply maintained her gameplan and passed into thin air when 2 men were missing. Was he ever an on-goal threat? I doubt it.  Capello was right.

Over to you Kenny.

so when's our next drinking session Reginald? are you back in SG yet?

He's been at the club for 9 months now and has done little to justify a place in the team let alone the fee we paid for him.  Im really hoping the lad can turn it around.

He's flopping just as bad as Torres is at chelsea, granted he was injured and unfit for awhile.  But that excuse only lasted so long.

Trouble is when you think you see a bad one it usually is a bad one and only on the odd occasion do these things turn around. You try and stay positive, you really do, and hope that the lad can start showing something but the moment you strat making excuses, looking for hope, is really the time you know its a bad call. Carroll has been dreadful, and if anyone connected with the club has not at least had a moments doubt then they must be dead from the neck up.

we bought Downing and Henderson to provide service for Andy but lets be honest, the balls to him all season have been terrible, and when one does land on his head there is nobody around him for him to knock it down for.

The critiscism of him is way too harsh, the rest of the team are as much to blame for his perfrmaces.

He worked really hard against Spurs, auguably our best player yet he is still getting blamed.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

About time Kenny starts giving the kid a shot at succeeding. 4-4-2 with Lucas and Spearing in the middle with 2 wide players who will put it in the box regularly. For the cup game, I'd give this formation a try:

Kuyt    Spearing    Lucas    Downing

           Bellamy     Carroll

I think that every time Liverpool has played the whole, "hoof it or cross it into Carroll and let him knock it down to someone" strategy we have looked like :censored:. When we actually keep the ball on the ground, pass and move it around we have looked far better.

I actually thought he did ok against Spurs. Unfortunately due to circumstance he did most of his work in the wrong areas of the pitch.

Hope he bangs in a couple against Brighton.

To be honest at this point I gotta shift a lot of the blame onto Kenny for what's going on, obviously its early days and the season is long but he's spent a lot of money on these players and Carroll has been misused all season long.  We're expecting him to fit into a team that isn't playing to his strengths at all.  Bit like Torres with Chelsea pretty much, Torres obviously has it in him to be a trrific playa but at Chelsea he's up against it.  I'll keep rooting for big Andy and hopefully soon he'll show what he's about more often.

I know the money side of the Andy Carroll issue is a hot topic and, in a lot of ways, rightly so.

On that note though - anyone who thinks that a combination of Suarez and Carroll is better than Suarez and Aguero, for example, has to shake their head.

If you look at a lot of players with the same price tag as Carroll, there is no comparison (so far).
