I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Andy Carroll was shown up for what he truly is tonight - a League Two player. He was awful. Lazy. No movement. Bitching and moaning to the ref, and he is not fast. At all. He's as slow as mass. £5m player at most. And I know all that :censored: about how we bought at the close of window in a panic.

Suarez was the only decent thing out there tonight. Anyway, its only the League Cup so :censored: it. Expecting a tough game Saturday evening.

A lot.

Of fools

So we paid 35 mill for another Crouch or Heskey?

Who is the fool?

You clearly. You probably were pleased when Crouch went for Robbie Keane.

Try looking at it as Torres for Carroll and Suarez. Bargain.

I saw him score a nice goal and link up play a lot. His off the ball movment to create space for others was pretty nifty too.

I think he's getting as tired as us at the fact that everyone seems to think long balls/crosses aimed at his head are the best way to go about getting him on the score sheet/making him effective.  Probably why he's continually dropping so deep.  He was pretty mad at Hendo when he didn't play it at his feet too.

I heard he did well and linked up well with Suarez tonight, his goal will do wonders for his confidence, I hope he goes on a goal scoring spree now :)

Liverpool 'fans' on here need to wise up a bit. Andy Carroll is a good player, its not his fault he was signed for big money. He is different and is a great edition to the team and squad. If we learn how to use him we will get the best out of him. Newcastle did and he was scoring every second game.

Might be another Mario Gomez, the striker from Bayer Munich. Great season or two with Stutgart, then a really poor one with Bayer then another great one with Bayern again. Point is, we might have to wait a bit for him to find his true form because the guy clearly has the talent. Hope it won't be too long though because I'm starting to get inpatient with him and his performance and even the team's performance when he's playing.
