Pass out the tambourines so those of us that don't have access to Kenny's "plan" can sing along.

Personally I thought pre season was about fitness and gelling the team together.
So far we've seen a succesion of players fielded whose future at Liverpool, to put it mildly, is at the very least questionable, why are the likes of Poulson and Degen even getting game time ?, it's not as if Kenny arrived yesterday, surely he already knows which players have got something to offer us ?

I know we've been missing some key players and I hope Reds right and that we do see something resembling our first eleven fielded for what little is left of our "pre season" as so far for me we've been a bl'oody shambles.

totally agree with this.
Fitness and making the team gel are key.
The use of the likes of degen and poulsen is mystifying.
The galatasaray game was such a strange one, why travel all of that way and field the kind of team we did ?

Scratching my head me.
Watched Chelsea against villa yesterday and they played a normal side and looked like if the season started next week they would be ready.
We wouldnt be, lets just hope Kenny plays something close to the first team in these last 2 games.

meanwhile, Effin' Mancs beat Barcelona.

Highlights of him vs Bayern. The next Xavi from the looks of things although Thiago's style is is a bit 'riskier' when coming forward.

I wouldn't beat the win down ,I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the Barca Bayern game the other day and Barca even without their Megastars Messi and Xavi are class act...Meaning ManU win is a fcking good win ,while we can't handle the types of Hull...We should be more humble.

I wouldn't go as far to say a'fcking good win'. A win yes, one that marks anything in particular, no

pre-season genuinely means FA - look at Chelsea last season, did nothing but lose, then they came out flying in the league

Another thing to keep in mind is we have a lot of new players and lads who have been over in that Copa and on top are trying to re shape half the team. The top 4 clubs from last year all have settled units and are merely adding the odd addition but at the moment our group is a right mixed bag of noobs, deadwood and young pups trying to make a mark. If the pre sesaon shows anything at all its that we are still in period of transition and until things settle down we may still have a couple of off days.

It was a great win but to compare it to our defeat to Hull, especially considering the lineups, is an embarrassment.

I'm not sure I can take another season of you're doom and gloom bullish!t.

You must be into some weird S&M sh!t if you find supporting Liverpool so painful yet you continue to do so every year.

I think thats down to optimism more than following their results.
Let them have a good pre-season. We will see how they cope when the season starts properly.

Despite frailties at the back I've actually enjoyed some of the stuff we've played this pre-season. Downing looked sharp yesterday as did Henderson. Both will be really good assets for us. Aquilani has been a class act whenever he's been on the pitch. Really good to see the youngsters such as Shelvey and Sterling getting some game time aswell.

Agreed. I was the first to voice my concerns about the Downing signing but yesterday he started to show how effect he is when Carroll is in the box. When the crosses were right Carroll latched onto them. If it wasn't for a couple of ridiculous point blank saves Carroll would of comfortably had a hattrick.

Henderson looks like he needs to adapt to playing a wider role, he kept drifting inside at times, which isn't any surprise considering the whole of last season he spent in CM.

Aquilani has looked a cut above for the whole of pre-season. It does seem a shame that rumours suggest he will be off. I guess it will all depend on valuation and possible revenue he can create.
