Another sign of the times is when you look at an ol'slapper and think 'why not?'.

Now? :D

That's the whole history of popular music, mate.  Jazz, blues, soul, rock, R&B, hip hop...it's all come to mainstream success on the backs of white folks trying to be black. Long before Eminem shuffled out of a Detroit trailer park we had the likes of Zeppelin and Clapton "borrowing" black music and making it mainstream.

God, now I'm sounding old!

Musics just getting better, you just need to know where to look. Same with movies and tv. Sure I don't drink Merrydown or thunderbirds in the park anymore, but its not getting older, its evolution

i am 39 in Aug, how do i know i am getting old.

i looked at buying a train set

getting freckles on the back of my hand

when it turnes out that the fit mum at your daughters school is the daughter some one i dated at school.

need to get up and go a pee more in the night (when i have had a drink)

that i find it better to sit and just have a chat with my mates in front of the tv or in the garden than going down the pub with them.

Sex used to be an all night thing.  Now it's an 8 minute right of passage... Once every two weeks.

It bloody isnt. Music, and I use that term loosely, is at its worst today than ever. If its not some girl/boy band slaughtering a classic from years ago, then its some bint getting her t!ts out to sell the tripe that she has just put together.

The same with movies, because ideas are running out for the next blockbuster what do they do? stick 3D in front and sell the newest bile as you can see how cr@p it is in 3D or, take a mythic legend and gay it up.

No without any doubt, todays world has no creative talent at all, nothing made today is easy on the eyes or ears.

I agree with you Kharhaz about movies. They have really gone to the dogs lately.

Yep, there's still a few gems amidst the dross.  Can't remember the last time I went to the cinema to watch a flick though.  Maybe I'll check out Super-8 this weekend...

I'll agree with music,

but movies? I'll add to BB's list Batman (Christian Bale ones)

What Kharhaz doesn't realise is that for music you don't just listen to radio 1 or whatever. Get out there, theres so much genius going on. You lot are so mesmorised by X Factor you don't realise that every night all over the world in little pubs and clubs some of the best and most promising new bands are playing.

Same with movies, there is just more choice with everything.

If you idiots out there actually got out a bit more, saw the world, saw what was to offer, so much more in this day and age you'd stop moaning like a bunch of c

Daws, the problem with music now a days that it has become more commercial and its more about money (Justin Beiber, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, David Guetta, etc...) commercial artists. Less and less we are hearing about underground bands that's why music is going down in my opinion
