now I just read this
SkySportsNews Sky Sports News

Sky Sources: Rafael Benitez will not become the new Aston Villa manager. More details on SSN Channel 405
yep seem he listed that he needed a shot load of money to spend on players and asked for control of the youth set up so he could build a ream from the roots up.
looks like they said no or he said no when they said they did not have the funds for that and all talks called off.
(Don't know whether I'm laughing at Lakes' info OR Rafa's demands)
lol
In truth i think Rafa has taken a look at that theam there and knows what players are going to leave and for how much and think "sh1t i need a lot of funds to build something here"
most manafers now wish to have a lot to do with the youth set up anyway so i dont think that would be the problem, i think what is clear that money from players sales at that club dont look like being put back into the team.
