:D

I don't know much about how good Shane Long is

lol mate, i was falling asleep when i posted that.

no i did not know much about him untill mid season, he has great pace and in truth he is a git, by that i maen the other players call him a git as no matter how they try to stop him getting past he always finds a way.

Rafa spotted him and said we need to keep an eye on him but i take it due to the owners thing nothing much happend on it.

but still a good call by Rafa.

Where have you heard that ?

yup it's a done deal. another part exchange is in relation with Ngog + cash for Hazard.  :nod  and Juan Mata is arriving in the summer for 18million plus add ons that could rise to 24million. the left back that we're signing is that Wigan guy Figueroa or whatever. probably to give Robinson some time to mature before making him the first choice LB.

does sound good, though I'd be weary of how much £££. To be honest I'd only rate Young as a £15m player (even considering the english factor) - and going into the last year of his contract - I'd be looking at paying a maximum of £12m before any player-ex.

would be absolutely incredible if true, but I highly doubt that we'll sign Young, Mata AND Hazard. In fact I'd put money on it that we will not sign all 3 of them

I prefer to just wait and see at this time of the year.  I dont like getting all stressed thinking of all the players we should sign, i just focus on the areas we need to improve in. I wont believe rumours until a player is in a Liverpool shirt.

But we should sign a CB, LB, CM, 2 wingers and a back up striker.  The likes of cole, ngog, jova, Poulsen and Konchesky should be sold.  And most likely Aqua.

I can't believe Young would opt for Liverpool over Spurs, they are more likely to offer him Europa cup football.  :Oo:

bit of a silly comment.

maybe he's thinking long term, not just next season, maybe he's sees us as more likely to get in to the champions league in the future, maybe he wants to work with kenny, maybe he prefers the club ethos, maybe... there could be loads of reasons he could select this club over spurs, not just the chance to play in europes 2nd teir competition for one season.

Exciting times, exciting times indeed. As much as I loved Rafa you knew the type of player he would always go for. With Kenny you know he will look for entertaining skillfull type players.

I would love him to find/create another Beardsley Barnes and Aldridge again.

we'll all debating it until it becomes fact   :p

no offence but all the "i've heard that it's a done deal"s and all the "a deal is in place" doesn't mean a thing until it actually happens and becomes official. Even if it were true, people can still u-turn.

it aint a done deal until he's holding an liverpool shirt with his name on it at anfield shaking hands with kenny.

Valid point. Mark my words though mate  :idea

yes ok, slate me for suggesting we sell Lucas, Meireles and Maxi, but how long have they been playing for the club, and until January, were rated by most LFC supporters as "average" before King kenny arrived. and every one wanted them out.

Are you saying that as soon as Dalglish arrived, they thought.."i know I can actually play!"  :D

They have only played well for the past 4 months out of 3 years or so. although Meireles did ok under Hodgson and bagged a couple.

there is a danger if you keep them, that next season their performaces will drop. Rolling the dice IMO

Lucas has improved, but not that much. before Kenny, people had their head in their hands cringing if he was in the starting line up! Remember?

Just because Maxi has bagged 2 hatricks, doesn't make him world class. he could not shoot for toffee before Janaury in about three years at Anfield.

I don't rate em personally.

My Midfield next year would be:

RM: Aaron Lennon   CM Gerrard   CDM Adam   LM Bale/kuyt

Remember Chelski are gonna get Kaka, City and Utd will go out and Spend, and Prob the Arsenal. talk of Naysmith and Young? and Spending in the bargain basement?

Kenny will have to be some magician to pull off a league title shopping in the bargain basements IMO.
