Centre-half (need to spend £15 mill +)
Winger (need to spend £15 mill +)
Centre-Mid ( £8-10 mill range)
Left Back (£5-6 mill)
I like Gary Cahill, he's young and fits the NSEG blueprint. I still like Hangeland and he would be cheaper but I don't think the owners will be looking at 27-28 years olds.
I see we're being linked to Eden Hazzard again today and i'd be delighted to see him come ahead of Ashley Young. Although Young is a good player who i'm sure would do well also.
Elsewhere, I like Charlie Adam and would be happy to see him in a red shirt assuming Blackpool don't think they can hold out for more than £10 mill for the lad. Spurs will be all over Scott Parker but the mancs might go in for Adam unfortunately.
That would leave left-back where it makes sense to spend some money on a decent European player but i don't have a clue who. Young Robinson looks a prospect and I expect him to see a fair bit of playing time out there but it might be a bit early to be relying on the lad.
Elswhere I really think the Academy can provide the depth that will enable Kenny/Commoli to spend bigger on their main targets. I think Sterling will be a first team squad player next season and I wonder if young Adam Morgan could find himself getting a few games upfront in the latter half of the season.
agree with everything you say about what we require except i would say we need to two wingers one for each wing, have to be genuwine wide men who can cross and get some supply to Carrol, who is gonna be redundant without that kind of service. Centre back is a huge priorty as Carra is old, Agger injury prone and the other two are just awful. Left back we are also badly in need of another player, as Aurelio is injury prone and the rest are too young.

Albrighton is a great shout but I reckon we'd have to seriously overpay if we were to go for him. I think Matty Jarvis from Wolves, particularly if they go down, would be a better bet. I've been really impressed with him this season.

waddya think of his mentality and style? because my only worry is that some players, as we have seen before, are better off being a big fish in a small pond. i honestly prefer Albrighton as he is much younger, and apart from Young, has been one of Villa's better players in terms of goals and assists. otherwise, Kagawa from Dortmund has been immense and not only is he a good player, but its good from the marketing POV having an Asian in the ranks. he's similar to Park, but scores alot more.
ps: random, but i just realize that our youth team has got numerous Hungarian players. i wonder if they are any good though.

Aussie Style wrote:Liverpool Football Club today completed the signing of Irish starlet Alex O'Hanlon. The signature of the 15-year-old left-sided player probably won't excite many fans but it should.
Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has been tracking O'Hanlon ever since he was at the Academy and within days of his appointment as Liverpool's permanent manager, he has overseen a huge coup.
Numerous clubs were desperate to land the youngster, including Spanish giants Real Madrid. They, along with Chelsea, Arsenal and even Everton (as recent as 3 weeks ago), laid on the full works for O'Hanlon and his family but he has turned them all down in favour of Kenny Dalglish's new regime at Anfield.
A source told KOPTALK: "He's a Manchester United fan but he wanted to play for Liverpool. All the major clubs in England wanted him, plus he enjoyed a week with Real Madrid, but he chose Liverpool because he wanted to work under Dalglish and because the club felt more right than any of the others.
"He spent time with Chelsea but on the plane on the way home he said he'd never go there.
"Liverpool showed him and his family the most respect. He's come here because he believes Liverpool are a massive club on the verge of great things."
We understand that Liverpool have invested a tidy sum in the player who was at Melwood this afternoon with his father and representatives to complete the signing of his 3-year contract.
The source added: "He's got a long way to go. He's still a young lad but Kenny is absolutely delighted to have secured this transfer. They have spent a lot of money to make it happen."
Arsenal tried to hijack the deal as recently as last week but failed.
